Slateman Posted October 10, 2019 Share Posted October 10, 2019 It's funny, because all season long, Martinez has been eviscerated by Nationals fans. Even when they were winning, Martinez seemed like a passenger. And come the postseason he's been fantastic outside of Game 1 of the NLDS. He's managed the worst bullpen in the history of postseason baseball remarkably well. He's let guys go when they could and pulled them when he needed to. Pinch hitting Taylor then Zim was gutsy. Going with Kendrick, despite a horrid series until last night, was ballsy. And the big money guys came through when it mattered. Stras, Scherzer, Corbin, Rendon all came through.
