I know many were high on him, but I never saw it They gave Wake nearly 8m a year to play opposite of Landry and rush the passer, so I don't know how much faith they had in him as anything other than a rotational player. I don't know how many snaps Wake was playing, but like Humphries, it didn't seem like his snap count justified his contract. I've been saying that Long feels every bit like the solid situational player that could step up if needed, like Brown did early on, but it's nice he can confirm it on the biggest stages. In all seriousness, this has been a rollercoaster season. We all felt good in the offseason, felt waaay better after Game 1, then fell into despair before a ridiculous turnaround that got us into the playoffs.
