When do we stop trying to pick apart every little detail of Cousins’ game and start focusing on the issue that this defense, which is what this team is supposedly built around, hasn’t been able to get key stops since the Carolina game in 2017?

Defense has been resting on laureals for two years now. Not nearly as good as it once was. All year it's been picked apart by weak quarterbacks.

Cannot generate turnovers. Never shows up in big spots. Zero presence of a true "game changer" player. Zero pash rush with 4 men rushing.

The stats are there for Hunter and Griffen but there's an issue with the front line getting any sort of pressure yet because Hunter has 8 sacks in 9 games, there's no problem. That's not even mentioning the countless WIDE OPEN receivers this season.

The secondary needs to be overhauled in the offseason, which is unfortunate since the investment have been there.

I didn’t realize that the season ended today. Why does it matter if we’re in first place on November 3?

A win would have been sweet but it is what it is. The defense has some flaws that the offense will need to need to compensate for. Hopefully they figure it out down the stretch.

Because I don't want to play catch up the next month against a team as good as Green Bay especially when we have a tough test Sunday night on the road. Something that has KILLED the Vikings for the past 10 years

Green Bay IS a good team admit it or not. When they under-perform and lose games they should win and the Vikings lose games they should win, we're giving Green Bay that much more room especially when they own the tie-breaker by a good margin as they beat Minnesota, Chicago and Detroit and we lost to Chicago and Green Bay.

To call this loss "meaningless" when we could be tied with Green Bay is baffling.

Other than Hughes, they haven't really added any new blood the last 2 years

It's not too far off, IMO.

Rhodes is a liability.....Harris is good but had a very very bad game.

What the Vikings need is an aggressive DB who can force a turnover. We really don't have that player.

Well Green Bay would still be in front due to the head to head

Rhodes did ok today. Waynes is the liability!

Sure but tie breakers can change in a heartbeat.

Win and loses are much harder to change.

Finishing a game behind Green Bay doesn't matter if you beat Green Bay on Christmas eve eve

We'll beat them at home. Hopefully some good things happen between now and then.

Waynes is 27, Mac is 25, Hill is 22, Harris is 28, Hughes is 22, Smith is 30, Rhodes is 29.

It's not like the secondary is old.

True but players can have down years and at this point Rhodes and Wayne's are. Hill hasn't played at all and Hughes is coming back from an injury. I'd like to see Hughes get more playing time but he's got to be playing close to half the time?

I agree, they need to get more turnovers but that can be said for the DL as well.  Why they do not attack the football more often and try to get fumbles I do not know, a few times they could have done that and did not.  Instead of attacking the QB, attack the football and the QB will soon either fumble or come down anyway.

It was an odd game, should have played better against a team without their starting QB, OG or LT.  Cousins was just off and missed a lot of throws but that interior OL was awful and gave up tons of pressure and could not get the ground game going.

Alexander made some nice plays, so did Hughes outside of the fumbled punt (dude should not be the return man, Ameer should but whatever).  That missed tackle by Harris was gigantic and changed the game giving up the longest run in the NFL to date this season.  Impressive there was so many Vikings fans there, what it was like 30-40% Viking fans?  Sure looked like that on TV, almost every section had some purple in it.

Still the Chiefs looked fine with Moore at QB, if Cousins went down, and he is clearly nothing compared to Mahomes, no way the Vikings would even have a chance with Mannion out there much less missing two starting offensive linemen and both starting defensive ends.

All this because I'm speaking facts. His 5-28 record speaks for itself. Seems like those in denial of that need a therapists, not me.
