agarcia34
Francis gonna get a massive pay day to fight Jon.
BayRaider
Francis is a great guy and happy for him. Two stand up gentlemen in the octagon tonight. Would love to see Jones vs Francis after this. Never sleep on Jones. But if he gets hit by one of those rights...
beekay414
That fight is going to break records. Think of how many people will buy the fight just to see Jon get his head taken off. He's easily the most hated fighter in the sport.
scar988
That F-U Punch at the end of the fight was lovely. I don't like STipe.

agarcia34
UFC is about that money. We wont see a rematch which he deserves unless they cant come to an agreement with Jon. Put that fight in Texas where they're open and sell that bad boy out

He had a terrible support system before his last title shot.

Buckrock101
The mental difference between Francis in the first fight and this one was huge, and made all the difference imo. That first fight, he came in as this superstar, the uncrowned champ, and that clearly got to his head. He went out all attack, blew his energy, and was done for the last 4 rounds. Now he's taken that loss, the loss vs Lewis, and now handles himself so much better out there. So impressive how he calmly took Stipe apart in this fight. Stipe's gameplan was clearly to survive early, and then pull away late, as he did in the first fight. But I loved how Francis just threw bombs and then stopped, recovered, and saved up energy to go again. And honestly it was when he went away from the big bombs that he had the most success. It wasn't the bus driver uppercuts that had success for him, like against Overeem and Rozenstruik, it was in the 2nd round when he threw clean, straight punches and short check hooks that landed first. Really good wrestling improvements shown in the first round too, used his size much better in the grappling exchange to get a dominant position. No doubt some of the training with Usman paying off. Ngannou vs Jones now is super interesting. We've never seen Jones go up against someone with the size and power of Ngannou. Gut says he's too complete a fighter for Ngannou, and he'll be able to draw it out over 5 rounds to win, but I kinda thought that about this fight too.
Buckrock101
Btw, who would have thought we're potentially a fight away from seeing Ngannou vs Lewis 2, for the belt. Rematch of arguably the worst fight of all time. Proof we're living in a simulation, imo
Buckrock101
How good is it to see Luque get a win over a big name finally. Dude is the most exciting fighter in the UFC, despite the fact that Woodley is past it now, that was the big win on a big stage he needed for people to know about him. 13-3 in the UFC, 9-1 in his last 10. All but one of his wins in the UFC are by stoppage - the one that wasn't, he broke Mike Perry's nose off.
Buckrock101
Props to Woodley for coming out and throwing from the get go. He showed more urgency in half a round than he did in his last 3 fights. Seems like he's done, at least at this level, though. Almost certainly gone from the UFC. Guessing he'll still get at least one or two more paydays at Bellator, or maybe he'll go to PFL.
