Bynes is going to cost $19 over 2 years and Burfict + Kendricks will be $9.5 over 2 years. I would take the chance with Burfict and Kendricks as a stop gap combo for half the price. Also if I am correct the Worley's price is $5.3 right now I would sign him this round or next. Edited February 15, 2020 by drfrey13

I think grabbing those 3 right now stops you from having to panic and over spend later. Also if someone is willing to spend $6+ on Worley let them have him. DTMW78
Round 3 in the books. LVR 2432 - Vontaze Burfict - ILB LVR $1,851,300 LVR 1098 - Jalen Richard - RB LVR $6,860,480 LVR 1239 - Joe Walker - ILB LVR $3,149,802 LVR 1847 - Nevin Lawson - CB LVR $4,376,092 Decided not to bid on Kendricks and went for Walker instead. He started 10 games last year for the cards and has some good upside imo. Good vs the run and has some cover ability. He's fast which is always a plus and at the very least you get a excellent special teams guy.

That gives you some flexibility now in that you can draft a CB or LB high but you’re not desperate and can go BPA at most spots. Honestly don’t know much about Walker, he seems like a kind of low key FA we like bringing in.

Makes nice reads and fly's after the ball, quick and athletic. I would say the top 3 are set in Littleton, Burfict and Compton but Walker is a solid depth spot starter type guy who plays well on ST. DTMW78
Ryan Tannehill is still available if you think he would be an upgrade on Carr. Thoughts?

I honestly do not believe he is. It would be a new system for him. Carr is looking at year 3. Carr is still at 100m pricetag, what would Tannehill command?

I am not sold on Tannehill but a backup that can play has been needed for a couple years. Maybe Driskel, Daniel, and Sudfeld could be good low cost options. I might even see what Trubisky could do in Gruden's offense. If you are going to cut Carr then you need to sign someone like Tannehill. 2 hours ago, DTMW78 said: Walker looks good to me, saw him play a couple of times last year and he played well on both occasions. I do not know about Walker but like you said he is depth and special teams. Compton should be our #1 backup not a starter. Need a starting quality SLB to go with Littleton and Burfict.

Good to know, Ill have to keep an eye out for him for sure. Tannehill I wouldnt trust, he's had a great year no doubt but ehen the chips were down the coaches didn't trust him with the ball and I honestly feel Carr will do really well with a couple good WR options. Tannehill's stock us at its max and someone will overpay for a flash in the pan IMHO.
Mr Raider
Carr and Tannehill are essentially the same guy IMO. I think its entirely possible Carr could go to a new destination and have a similar resurgence to Tannehill in Tennessee this year. Whether it be because of better weapons, better coaching, or just a change of scenery doing a world of good. Their stats are ridiculously similar. Both guys are athletic for the QB position (though Tannehill uses it and Carr doesn't), both guys have very good short and medium accuracy, before this year both guys had a history of being check down artists... High completion percentage, lack of big plays, 20-30 touchdowns and 10ish picks a year. Carr's familiarity in the system gives him the edge over bringing in a guy like Tannehill, unless you can get Tannehill for 5+ million less than what Carr is going to make this year, and you can get a decent asset for DC, then the advantage is worth it, and if you wouldn't have to tie up a bunch of guaranteed money over the next 2+ years. And that's not likely. Even if Tannehill is a slight upgrade on the field (I'm not sure he is) he'd be learning a new system, that's notoriously difficult to grasp and you're likely looking at making a long term commitment. I'd prefer to keep the guy that has experience, offers a similar level of play, and has a contract that we can get out of at any time essentially over the guy that could offer slightly better play (if he learns the system quickly and last year wasnt the outlier), for the same or more money, but have to make a long term commitment. Of the reasonable to semi reasonable options to replace Carr a trade for Stafford would intrigue me because I think he's a better QB than Carr and has the same type of contract, but I wouldn't give up a ton for him, outside of him I wouldn't be interested in a trade or free agent option at the position. I'm not against upgrading from Carr at all, but I'd look for a higher ceiling, cost controlled young prospect with the potential to fix the QB position for the next 15 years. I'd make a run at trading up for Tua or look in the later part of the first for a guy with that potential.
DTMW78
So do we try and resign Worley after bringing in Howard and resigning Lawson? There's a bid in on him so now's the time if you want him back.
