Alright, back on track guys. Let's talk football and the subject at hand.

There is an unprecedented amount of starting level quarterbacks on the market and no strings attached. Should make for an interesting news cycle during the off season.

That's false, or at best oversimplistic.  Sorry, but it is.  If you don't think there are strings - of the "sorry, don't care if you're a fan of the team or not, this guy isn't signing for you" variety - you're kidding yourself.  Brees, for instance, isn't going anywhere else.  He'll either re-up with New Orleans or he'll retire.  There's a less than 1% chance that anything different from that happens.  Brady almost assuredly isn't going to a team that doesn't have a clearly open Super Bowl window, and beyond that it's highly unlikely he goes anywhere that doesn't offer him at minimum an above-average OL and receiving options.

Lolwhat?

Tannehill was better this year than Prescott was, and probably isn't demanding $40 million from a team with 20 free agents.  0 percent chance this one happens.

Even if Tanny was better, this should show you what better coaching/players have on a QB. Dak has been better for their careers. And do people really still believe the $40m number? WOW.

That was reported by Jane Slater one night. By the end of that night Dak's agents had told every news outlet that it was false. Within this season he said *twice* on camera that Slater lied.

I agree Tannehill was better than Prescott and probably is better overall, but I think the Titans won't want to franchise him and the Cowboys will swoop in. Prescott signing would be a poor move, but one I could see happening almost out of panic if both QB's end up elsewhere quickly.

There is 0% chance the Cowboys think Tanny is better than Dak. 0%

I don’t think Dak is going anywhere tbh.. Would be smart if the cowboys didn’t pay him.. But they’re the desperate team here.

Again, the Titans do not have the money to sign Dak to a deal he wants, unless their active plan is to scrap their team and rebuild for no reason.  Your logic is that the Titans don't franchise a better QB, who they know, and like, and will instead, let half their starters from an AFC Championship game season walk to sign a QB that had a worse season, and also they pay him way more.

0 percent chance.

Dak is going to get the Wentz/Goff deal + a little more. They all 3 have 4 year samples. Dak is better than the other 2 in bulk stats, efficiency stats, per game stats, playoff stats, awards, etc.

Yup if the Chargers were going to bring in a former highly touted draft pick that has shown nothing it will be Rosen and not Mariota. I put both at just slightly above 0 though. If Rivers isn’t brought back, which seems unlikely right now, I firmly believe they are going to gift wrap the job for Tyrod. Just scramble around and go for big plays kid... it’s going to be a dumpster fire.

Honestly, I doubt they even make overtures at Rosen; they had arguably 2, realistically 1 chance to get him on the relative cheap (for quarterbacks) if they bought into him as a franchise QB and passed.  That's telling to me.  If and it's a big if they decide that Tyrod isn't good enough, I actually think there's a better chance Telesco tries to trade up (we know he's quite capable of panic buying); not saying he'll have success doing so (I'd be utterly shocked if whoever they tried to trade up with didn't go straight to Miami and say, "Beat this," and Miami does), but once Telesco makes up his mind that he's going a specific direction with a 1st round pick, he's tended to let free agency at that position go by the wayside.  Even though I think he could actually succeed (if the OL were finally strengthened again), I can't see them going after an Andy Dalton, for instance.  Brady is a pipedream that honestly seems to be a case of his agent happy to let the overzealous LA and Boston media markets work up a tizzy that gets Tom an utterly ridiculous deal if he doesn't (or even if he does) return to the Pats.

The Chargers aren't going to proactively or voluntarily tank for anyone, but they may end up like the Bengals this year where their management/ownership proves themselves so out of their depth and inept that they manage to outsuck the rest of the field by accident.
