Here's my final mock before Free Agency begins. This is closer to what I think Gruden/Mayock will do with the resources they have. Enjoy guys and let me know what you think! It's an exciting time to be a Raiders fan.

Cuts

-Tahir Whitehead, LB

Trade

-Gabe Jackson to NYJ for 4.110

Free Agency

  1. Anthony Harris, S Minnesota

    1. He can come in and fit great next to Abrams to give us a young and talented duo on the backend. The Viking's have pennies left in cap space and I think we can deliver a deal too sweet to pass up for Harris.

  2. Cory Littleton, LB LA Rams

    1. Probably our most impactful FA addition here in Littleton. It's obvious we need to improve our talent and production at LB and this is just step 1.

  3. Nick Vigil, LB Cincinnati

    1. And here's step 2 in fixing the LB problem. Well known as a better coverage LB than in the box and someone who we can sign and not break the bank while still improving the spot. Vigil is fairly young and still has room for improvement.

  4. Darqueze Dennard, CB Cincinnati

    1. Dip our toes back in pool here for another former Bengal. With Harris already on board in the secondary it's time to go get more talent at the boundary here in Dennard. We have some youth at the position already in Johnson and Mullen. Dennard should come in and give steady, decent play at CB.

  5. Jordan Howard, RB Philadelphia

    1. With Jacobs and Richard already set to get carries next year Howard can slide in a create a very nice trio at RB. Jacobs deserves the majority of carries and this allows Richard and Howard to each use their specific skill sets to spell Jacobs in any situation.

1.1 Cincinnati - Joe Burrow, QB LSU

1.2 Washington - Chase Young, DE Ohio State

1.3 Detroit - Jeffery Okudah, CB Ohio State

1.4 NY Giants - Jedrick Willis, OT Alabama

1.5 Miami - Tua Tagovailoa, QB Alabama

1.6 LA Chargers - Justin Herbert, QB Oregon

1.7 Carolina - Isaiah Simmons, LB/S Clemson

1.8 Arizona - Tristan Whirffs, OT Iowa

1.9 Jacksonville - Derrick Brown, DT Auburn

1.10 Cleveland - Andrew Thomas, OT Georgia

1.11 NY Jets - Mekhi Becton, OT Louisville

.

1.12 Las Vegas - CeeDee Lamb, WR Oklahoma

-Just an absolute game changer at WR. Lamb gives us a weapon that other NFL teams will actually fear and gives us an outside threat to pair with Waller up the seam and Renfrow underneath. With this pick we have intriguing receiving options at virtually every spot on the field.

1.19Las Vegas - Kenneth Murray, LB Oklahoma

-Back to back Oklahoma players here and I'm not sorry about it one bit. This is step 3 in revamping our LB core and Murray will come in right away and give us the best trio of LB's we've had in decades. The kid absolutely flys to the ball and while he can tackle high and get a little jumpy while the play develops he is a plug and play starter.

3.80 Las Vegas - Bryce Hall, CB Virginia

-Hall doesn't seem to get the same shine as a few other CB prospects in this draft but I love what he brings to the table. With Mullen, Dennard, and Johnson as returning NFL CB's we don't need Hall to step in and produce his first year. This a pick for the future that gives us three legit, young CB's to develop moving forward.

3.81 Las Vegas - Bradlee Anae, Edge Utah

-Just seems like a Gruden/Mayock edge player to me. You can never have too many weapons off the edge and Anae can slot right in year 1 in sub packages and gives us more energy to bring after Mahomes.

3.91 Las Vegas - Michael Pittman, WR USC

-Being a USC fan I've watched every game MP has played the last few years and he is the kind of player you want on your team, point blank. The guy isn't going to blow by anyone and break off a 65 yard TD but he will physically beat you down. One of the better blocking WR's I remember watching with very strong hands at the POA. Would love to introduce Lamb and MP into the WR size along with Waller and Williams to give us some serious size on the perimeter.

4.110 Las Vegas - Robert Hunt, IOL Louisiana

-With the trade of Gabe Jackson we need some young talent on the IOL to develop for the future. Denzelle Good is plenty solid to start the year for us at RG and allow Hunt the year to develop. I don't doubt that Hunt could step in/challenge for reps once he is up to speed with NFL talent DL.

4.121 Las Vegas - Leki Fotu, DT Utah

-Back to Back big guys and it's exactly what you want to do at this point in the draft. I've watched a lot of Utah and Pac-12 in general and this guy always pops off the screen. Despite his size he does more than just clog lines. He is surprisingly explosive and can really put some pressure on the QB.

5.159  Las Vegas - Anthony Gordon, QB Washington State

-I really do not want to see Kizer, Peterman, or Glennon suit up in a Raider uniform ever again. Nothing personal but in my opinion a back up QB should essentially fall into two categories (if you have a somewhat entrenched starter). Type 1: Established veteran QB that can manage a game and not lose it for you. Type 2: A young QB on a rookie deal that you believe can still develop into more. The QB's I mentioned before fall into neither of those categories, they're just bad. Gordon is an interesting prospect that doesn't have prototypical QB size and frame but the guy can spin it. I would be interested to see what Gruden can do with him given a few years.

DEFENSE

DE: Max Crosby // Bradlee Anae

DT: Maurice Hurst // PJ Hall

DT: Jonathan Hankins // Leki Fotu

DE: Clelin Ferrell // Dion Jordan

LB: Nick Vigil

LB: Cory Littleton // Will Compton

LB: Kenneth Murray  // Nick Morrow

CB: Trayvon Mullen // Isaiah Johnson // Keisean Nixon

CB: Darqueze Dennard // Bryce Hall

Slot: Lamarcus Joyner // Nevin Lawson

S: Jonathan Abrams // Eric Harris

S: Anthony Harris // Eric Harris

OFFENSE

QB: Derek Carr // Anthony Gordon

RB: Josh Jacobs // Jalen Richard // Jordan Howard

FB: Alec Ingold

WR: Tyrell Williams // Michael Pittman Jr

WR: CeeDee Lamb // Keelan Doss // Rico Gafford

Slot: Hunter Renfrow // Zay Jones

TE: Darren Waller // Foster Moreau //  Derek Carrier

LT: Kolton Miller // Brandon Parker

LG: Richie Incognito // Lester Cotton Jr

C: Rodney Hudson // Andre James

RG: Denzelle Good // Robert Hunt

RT: Trent Brown // David Sharpe

Overall I think this team can compete for the division and at worst a Wild Card spot should be in play. If Carr can take that next step then he has the weapons and hopefully (finally) the defensive talent to win some games. I would have liked to sign a top free agent CB but I believe Jones prices himself out and I value Harris over the other free agent CB's at this point and he fits so well next to Abrams.

I will be putting out one more Mock Offseason right after FA and before the draft. Thanks for making it this far!

Great off-season would love if things turned out this way. Might get some flack for going Harris over a CB, but I get your line of thinking.

LB completely revamped will drastically improve our defense.

adding Lamb and Pittman has been my dream WR scenario.

long term we would only need a RB2, OG on offense and maybe CB and DT depending on how the young guys develop.

A+

Very very good job! I’d love that!

my only gripe if I don’t really like Anae.  I think he’s just not athletic enough for a rush specialist.  But overall i might do a few other little things different but that’s just a variance in opinion everyone will have.  Thanks!

I agree that Anae isn't an elite athlete but Mayock has show (Ferrell) that he values production and technique over athleticism as long as the athleticism meets the thresholds. I would love to get a better athlete on the perimeter but in the 3rd round the true athletes on the edges will be long gone unless we want a more of a project like Highsmith or Taylor.

Like the Jordan Howard addition. Good complement to Jacobs and don't have to invest draft capital in a backup.

This is my line of thinking too obviously. More value in a cheap FA RB than investing a pick in a rookie RB that will need time (pass pro wise) to valuable to us this year. And we don't have any picks past round five which IMO is too rich to spend on a 3rd string RB at this point.

Good to see the love for Lamb and Pittman. They would give us so much physicality at WR it's crazy. Definitely agree that DT could be a sneaky need soon if Hurst/Hall can't make that next step, definitely more of a 2021 need if so.

Good Job.

I like the drafting of "tough guys" at WR. And I like your take on back up QBs.

Thanks man! Just never saw the point with settling at backup QB. Obviously truly talented signal callers are rare but IMO you should be drafting/signing a QB every single year unless you have an established starter and a viable backup like Matt Moore/Chase Daniel or a talented rookie. The Glennon's/Peterman's are a waste of a roster spot.

Good job! Like the explanations and reasoning, one thing I would add is I'd provably look at a swing tackle in FA such as George Fant, I really dont see Parker being reliable going forward, maybe he improves though. In reality I think we'll trade down a couple times to accumulate a few more picks in the 4th 5th or 6th maybe, looking at ST guys and depth.

Definitely agree. I didn’t dive too deep into the second/third tier FA options but if we got the above haul and then added another OL body and a LB like Kirksey I would be even happier. We’ll definitely end up signing more than the guys I listed on the secondary market.
