DoleINGout
Lions are weird. Just want to stay at 5-7 wins per year I guess. Not surprised with Patricia there though.

Superduperman
He isn't great. He had like two games where he really showed up and many where he was nowhere to be found. But it's still kind of a mystifying move. I guess they're counting on Collins to fill the role? Meaning he'll be lined up in a down position a lot of the time? Can anybody tell me if that's even realistic?
SkippyX
His PFF grade peaked at 72.9 in 2016. Its bounced around the 60s the rest of his career. He is probably worth that 5.6 million of cap space, but if they think Collins takes his job then it makes sense to move on.

Lionized
Ian reported this may in fact have to do with a trade. Has anyone heard anything?
TL-TwoWinsAway
There's a factor here that shouldn't go ignored: Jarrad Davis. He has struggled (immensely) in coverage but has shown flashes against the run and occasionally rushing the passer. With Collins on the roster, it appears that they're looking to utilize Davis' strengths while freeing up $5M of cap space. In addition, Kennard's play has fallen off as of late. The move makes sense.
