Nabbs4u
Does Patricia realize in order to act like a pompous prick, you actually have to win a SB with said Franchise as , you know a HC? Not living off the coattails of Belicheck. See the difference is when Parcells, Ditka, Jimmy, Belicheck pulled these kinds of antics either as a motivational tool or example for the others to watch and be warned. They had the Cloat of being a SB HC that demanded respect, were able to use the fit in or get out mantra! Doesn't seem Patricia is to bright if he thinks this 💩 will fly with today's players when you've shown and won exactly nothing as a Lion. GL with that and thanks for alienating one of the better CB in the NFL into becoming a Eagle.🍺 Edited March 20, 2020 by Nabbs4u
TL-TwoWinsAway
Strangely, a bunch if players have said that they'd love to play for Patricia. It seems like some have thicker skin than others.
Jameson_Neat
I think this is pretty overblown, but do people really think guys like Parcells and BB waited to be complete ***** until after they won a SB(s)?

Right? And, really, it's not like Patricia hasn't been a coach in this league for a long time. It's just his personality: he's a ball buster. He's profane. Likes to joke around. Some players like that stuff and some don't.

And Patricia adjusted after that first HC year and Slay himself just said he was a good coach? Oh, the drama.
Tugboat
Seems like a solid deal for the Eagles, so long as Slay can play at that high level he's shown capable of...and not hit that wall some CBs hit as they age.

When Slay approached Patricia about that exchange (one year later), Patricia apologized. It's just weird. Guy is the best player on the defense and was an all-pro. Why would your first interaction with a player of that caliber be a negative one? Why try and tear him down? It's just a stupid thing to do Even though Slay said they made peace with it (pretty much because they had to), but obviously Slay still didn't respect it. Patricia came from an environment where players - especially the best ones - were criticized for poor play... it's just how it is. It sets a tone of accountability. Apparently, Slay and Patricia cleared the air after Diggs was traded. At that time, extending Slay was a real possibility. Slay himself said that his second year with Patricia was good.

As long as he's at least very good for his age 29 and 30 seasons, I think we'll be happy. Also, I don't think solid/good CB play at Age 31 and 32 is a huge ask. That's when Supreme craftiness comes into play. We've seen corners play well at age like 35 before lol.

You come in and swing your **** hard enough at one of the leaders, and if you break them...everyone else is just supposed to fall in line. People aren't dogs though, despite the way some coaches treat them.

Now follow the game plan, and lead this team to victory.
