Feast Your Eyes on this First Rounder (w/ trades)

dont mind it for the lions trade down still get a potential stud at cb, wonder what the comp would be for a move like that

Probably a butt load. I figure if Belichek is going to make a substantial move with anyone, why not a former colleague in Matt Patricia? He has the draft capitol to do so, and was rumoured to be interested in trading up for Baker Mayfield in 2018.

I also have you guys trading back up into the first for a local product; Cesar Ruiz to fill the void left by Graham Glasgow.

I don't hate it with the way the board fell. I'd also consider Zack Baun or Jaylon Johnson. We can get a RB in the 2nd-4th range.

Fair enough. RBs are luxury picks this early, and I think KC is one if a few teams that can afford it.

I agree. If we take Swift in the 1st I won't be mad. But I also think it depends on how the board falls. I just think with the depth of this class we can afford to wait til the 2nd or 3rd.

Ideally, we trade down and then I think the RB would be more acceptable to people. But some people don't see the minimal difference between picking someone at 32 or 40 "because it's the 2nd round".

Zero chance. First, this is the upper edge of his value range. Second, there is no need at RB. The Chiefs are solid enough at RB that LeSean McCoy could not crack the lineup for the Super Bowl.

I do hate it. A.J. Epenesa is still on the board.

He has the draft capitol to do so

Just going of the old value chart the 3rd pick is worth 2200 points.
Every Patriots selection in 2020 combined is worth 1224.6.

That's roughly a 1000 point deficit and future picks are valued about a 1 year discount, so every 2021 Patriots pick valuing them as about the 16th pick would be an additional ~700 points.

That's all their picks for 2 straight years and they are still short a late 2020 value.

I think it would need to include Stephon Gillmore because the draft capital really isn't there and the rest of the roster has so few valuable trade-able assets that also help their cap situation.

If the trade up involved Gillmore, would you still have the Lions taking Jeff Gladney (they would have Gillmore + Trufant as their corners currently -- at the time of the trade down)? If not who would you then have the Lions selecting?
