furti
Maybe the injury (not sure how much time he has to miss, maybe he can come back towards the second half of the season) will change his mind about retirement. Steve Smith did the same if I recall after rupturing his achilles, he came back for another year as he did not hang up his boots because he got hurt. The thing I don't get is he was also reaching for his knee when he went down.
furti
I guess with Sproles out, Smallwood is the unquestionned 3rd down back. Maybe worth a fantasy pickup as he is gonna be involved on first and second down as well?
Phire
I was thinking steve smith example as well. Kind of a bad way to go out.

Well, at least we'll be better prepared going into next season without him. I'm not too worried.
furti
Being that Sproles needs to carry the ball in both hands and catch passes, he might not be able to make a two-week timeline. The best estimate is a 2-4 week return. Worst case scenario is six weeks. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/profootballdoc/sd-sp-pfd-darren-sproles-arm-surgery-0924-story.html

EAGLES3658
Well, Sproles tore his ACL as well as the broken arm so he won't be back.

Jlash
Holy hell man. I thought he was holding his leg when he went down, I was surprised it was an arm injury.

Jroc04
Yea I figured it was a knee as well. That turn and buckle then he kind of flinched the knee I knew it was bad.
Jroc04
Who's on the scrap heap? Or do we just run with the 3 we have?

RandyMossIsBoss
Welp, he broke. Fluke injury or just the outcome of a 5'6 190 lb RB taking carries? Hard to say, but the fact that these are both injuries that occur from single moments makes me think it's flukey. Not like these are wear and tear injuries. Crushing news though, broken arm was one thing but the ACL too!? Hope he makes a good recovery but his NFL career may be over. This is a tough loss for us, he was a big asset for the run, pass and return game and a veteran presence for our group of young backs (...not sure Blount is the ind of vet presence I want)
