It’s insane how bad  Woods was. I think hes in the Mo Carthon tier of  worst coordinators since the return. Who else stands out as super ****?

Woods not only sucked with how he used our CBs, he didn’t use our safeties well either.

Delpit and Thornhill are exceptional athletes who can cover a lot of ground. Schwartz funnels WRs inside to them and lets them read and react.

I wish we could have seen JJ3 in this defense. He had talent that woods had no idea how to use

There really isn’t any excuse for what Woods did. He had Garrett, JOK, Ward, Newsome, and Emerson.

Now to be fair, Schwartz has benefited from a breakout year by Delpit. He’s also been fortunate to have Thornhill, Tomlinson, and Hurst be fantastic additions and leaders.

Did Depit break out on his own or because he was being used properly? Schwartz is benefiting because he’s deploying a player appropriately tbh.

Hurst is playing great, absolutely, but he was an afterthought signing tbh. Schwartz is putting him in positions he excels like a good coach should be doing.

This.

Same with JOK. He was good under Woods, but he's been great under Schwartz. Even a dude like Anthony Walker has played really well, and he's always been a JAG.

We've added talent this past offseason, yes, but there was more than enough talent when Woods was here for us to have at least an average defense. Instead we were horrible.
