So the % of the cap will be sizeably less 6-7 years from now. So even if the money is dead it isn't as punishing. People are obviously complaigning about the length but between increasing cap so that the hit is less and the likelihood of LTIR, which if anyone thinks the league will punish is naive as hell, the negatives won't be as bad as people think. By far the best RH defenseman they've had and gives them an actual #1 pairing with Riley. And they should work well as one is offensive and one defensive minded.
