Good, bad, ugly vs Tampa Bay

Thought Carr played well, Agholor and Waller were the pick of the offense. Jackson’s eviction was a strange one.

Defense is a hot mess. Secondary have to cover for far too long. Pass rush was non existent. Ferrell is proving what many of us thought, not worthy of a top 5 pick. Littleton and Collins have down nothing of note to date. Nassib has flashed a couple of plays today but otherwise little. Marinelli hasn’t done anything with that unit even though on paper it is a better group than last years.

Real worry for me is the form of Jacobs, looks way short of his best at the moment.

The good

• Nelson Agholor made some big plays.

• Daniel Carlson has been very good kicking the ball all year and hit everything again today.

• Alec Ingold trucking Devin White.

• The game was competitive all the way up until the start of the 4th.

• Run defense was solid.

• Ruggs was effective the few times he got the ball.

The bad

• Our run blocking was atrocious as it has been most of the year.

• Our pass rush was non-existent again as it has been for most of the year.

• Gruden's decision to kick a FG instead of looking to tie the game.

The ugly

• Watching Jeff Heath, Erik Harris, and LaMarcus Joyner trying to cover opposing players.

• Paul Guenther's defensive game plan and inability to create favorable matchups for our defense.

• Gabe Jackson's ejection.

• Having to watch Simpson/Parker on the field at the same time.

• Watching Devin White put up 11 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 TFL while Ferrell did absolutely nothing the entire game.

Carr played pretty well, if Agholor catches that pass in the 4th quarter we probably tie the game right there.

Yeah, Jacobs hasn't been effective but our run blocking as a whole has been terrible all season. We really need Richie and Trent back. Plus Gabe Jackson has really regressed, he's probably gone after this year.

Only a couple of weeks ago you were asking people to not jump on Ferrell as it was too early and you used Cameron Jordan as a comparison. That gone now I take it ?

It is still too early to call him a bust, he has played like 20 games in the NFL. And he just had his best and most disruptive game against the Chiefs, which played a huge part in us winning the game. It just wasn't fun to see Devin White put up 3 sacks and destroy Carr on that last play while Ferrell had a quiet game. White has been good this year but even Bucs fans will tell you he's great coming forward but hasn't been great in coverage.

Laughable. Who are they trying to fool?

He fell down on the guy, with his feet touching nothing but grass. We all saw it. And we all saw Suh horsecollar him right afterwards while no flag was thrown.

The refs and the announcers were so unquestionably biased that I muted my TV and guessed every single "penalty" before they even announced them lol

Both are still things we aren't good at in any way, shape, or form lol.

How cringe...we would be more effective forming an 11-man chain stretching across the field and swaying back and forth like synchronized swimmers.

Actually, synchronized swimmers are probably tougher than 8 or 9 of our defensive starters, so I apologize for insulting them.

Littleton and Kwit were both effective blitzers before they got here, Guenther just doesn't blitz. If we had White he'd look like Littleton, lost standing in the middle of the field while the QB has 45 seconds to throw to a wide open WR.

offense just stopped scoring

Gruden deciding to kick the FG instead of going for it when we were down 24-17 sealed it. If we score there it's a completely different ball game. Pretty much the exact same thing we did against New England as well.
