J-ALL-DAY
He's going to need to play defense at a high level all season long if this team is going to even have a shot at the playoffs. Offense will stay inconsistent with the lack of shooting even if Steph is Steph.

Can he keep it up nightly in this condensed schedule at his age?

But yeah we haven’t really seen point forward Zion that was hyped up at Duke yet Doesn’t even need that, would hope he does but he could stay a pure rim assaulter and average 25 PPG unless teams go all out in gameplanning to stop him. Key is the passing. Has to make more, and better, passes out of the double, and to the right guy, and ideally before it even comes. More he plays more he’ll get a feel for that I think. Will need some semblance of a jumper, and more importantly a better FT rate, if he wants to be an elite offensive player.

His IQ is on another level and that helps everyone else out. Wiseman barely has any playing experience and he's going to get killed defensively on some or even most nights but if Dray can play DPOY level defense? Then you can live with those growing pains for Wiseman.
agarcia34
Draymond was fantastic last night. If he can give that effort 75% percent of the time then the Warriors can be a playoff team. Well Oubre has been awful shooting his defense has been a bright spot. Him and Dray need to lead the way on that side of the ball

While he was out you guys were trying to play Curry off ball with Wiggins/Oubre on ball and neither of those guys are playmakers. Which is why it is still weird to me that you guys traded away Russell for Wiggins when Russell is clearly a better shooter/playmaker than Wiggins. 11sanchez11
This was before the Warriors gm last night: The Blazers had the worst halfcourt defense at 105 drating. But with Kanter ON the floor they are at 124. And with Kanter & Melo on the floor they are at 129 lol.

Russell didn't fit well and it would have been tough when Klay returned. But that trade was to get the TWolves 2021 pick.

Oubre is irrelevant in all of this. The Warriors didn't make the move because they thought Wiggins was some great player or anything. They liked his size more than Russell and thought he could turn into a respectable defender and then they wanted the 2021 1st rounder from TWolves which should be a very high pick.
