lumberjackchris
Happy for him to get out of this **** show. Go get you a ring, big guy!
Pastor Dillon
I’m gonna miss JJ but this had to be done. He’s not the player he once was and we couldn’t afford to keep his salary. Cuttibg him shows class and respect as opposed to trading him for assets. We probably could have gotten something from him but this way he can go to a team of his choosing. tab
I’m fine with this. I hope he goes to Green Bay
jch1911
Texans just released Watt IRL... I f^*^*&(* hate all of this... sorry (not sorry for the rant) McNairs need to sell the d@mn team

I know this isn't why. But this proves they should not be stewards of the Htown NFL franchise any longer... when the bedrock of the team just wants OUT then you shouldn't be in control
LORK88
I applaud them for giving him what he wanted. It sucks he never won a ring with us and we couldn't give him more, but I think we handled it well all things considered. Thank you for everything, JJ. jch1911
You know... I wasn't an Oilers (not really) growing up, but I remember the vitriol and hatred fans had for Bud Adams... I think I am way beyond that for the McNairs and JE

I've never seen a downfall like that of the McNair family over the past few months. Crumbled to the ground, nothing worth salvaging.

Marco79
It’s just very sad it has to end this way because it really didn’t have to. The Texans could have hired Omar Khan, got rid of Jack, hired an actually competent coach that would be able to excite the team and fan base (EB, Eberflus), and reworked Watts deal to lower the cap hit while give him some guaranteed money. Him of course deciding to stay with the Texans because he believed in the foundation that was being set up and that with 4 under center they will be a contender as long as they make semi-competent moves.
Longhorns90
Pretty much sums up my feelings of late. Here's hoping that whoever buys the team next puts a statue out in front of Reliant of him. Dude deserves it, for what he's done for the city. And it's a damn shame that the team couldn't reciprocate.
