I'm not sure the offense can get to 30 unless the defense is completely devastated (like the Bucs in Week 3), but I'm sure they'll try.

But if Flacco throws a couple pick sixes, then we might be able to, so let him know if he wants to, we're cool with that.

I am sure that Zimmer and company will not be taking the Ravens as lightly as some on this thread appear to be doing.  As the Giants just proved...it's foolish to take any NFL team lightly.

It's not like Zimmer would be looking ahead, he's got Cleveland next week followed by the bye. Next really big game is against Washington, which is still several weeks away.

You want Harbaugh fired?

at this point, absolutely. Harbaugh to me does not have what i want in a head coach, he should be involved in game planning and be able to adjust on the side line if necessary, yet he just seems to watch the games in front row w/o really participating much. probably just does not have any experience in defensive nor offensive playcalling so he rather leaves it to his coordinators. keeps adding coordinators he is friends with and sticks with them no matter what.

fans are calling for Dean Pees head for years now and all the FO does is feed him with free agents and draft picks, yet he still is unable to field a top5 unit. he can't scheme to his players strength and will just try to force them in his system. didn't develop any young players really all the years he has been here.

while the offense has suffered numerous injuries, i still won't give Mornhinweg (the OC) a pass since all his playcaling is absurdly bad. you would think with Flaccos arm and speedy wide receivers he would rather go deep than dink and dunk yet the latter is all he seems to have in his playbook.

soooo... every year since the SB is the same ol' 7-9/8-8 bs, the FO / owner seem to be content with being just good enough. would rather see them tank for 1-2 years and get some young creative minds in as coordinators than just missing the playoffs again (where we do not have any business to be in anyway).

He's only had 1 losing season in 9 years, he isn't going to get fired unless the apocalypse hits.  I believe the QB is the problem, moreso than the other issues you mentioned, as he can't win the game on his own.  And unfortunately, you're stuck with him through the 2019-20 season because of the contract.  So, the best option is to build up the offense around him...which Ozzie unfortunately hasn't been able to do over the last several drafts.  They may have to let the bottom fall out and then rebuild the offense, because the piecework with free agents like Wallace, Woodhead, Maclin and Watson hasn't worked.

Harbaugh is only as good as his coordinators. He’s not an offensive mind that can create an offensive game plan ala Sean Payton, nor is he a defensive mind that can create a defensive game plan ala Mike Zimmer.

Harbaugh, like most ST coordinators, is a great communicator and a good motivator, but he needs strong Xs and Os minds around him. And like @berlin calling has said, he’s hiring friends and failing to recognize what isn’t working.

At some point a coach’s voice just loses its effect on the locker room, especially when there are no lasting results, ie Andy Reid in philadelphia. Harbaugh may be a good coach, but it’s probably time for him and Baltimore to go in different directions.

Both teams have had similar success in the running game, but it is in the passing game where the Vikings have a distinct advantage. Minnesota is averaging 238.8 net passing yards per game while the Ravens are at 159.7. Baltimore has also thrown eight interceptions while the Vikings threw their first last week.

If you thought the Vikings had a short passing game last year, the Ravens’ leading receiver is TE Benjamin Watson, who is averaging 3.1 yards on 24 catches. The Vikings’ leading receiver is now Adam Thielen, who is tied for third in the NFL with 38 catches and third with 489 yards, averaging 12.9 yards per reception.

Defensively, the Ravens continue to be led by Terrell Suggs, who was in Kevin Williams’ draft class (remember the outcry for the Vikings to draft Suggs?) and leads the Ravens with 4½ sacks. Everson Griffen leads the Vikings with seven sacks.

That may be true, but I'm not sure the grass is gonna be greener with a new coach.  Right now, that team lacks a lot of young talent, and I don't think it really matters who the coach is.

Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh is a former special teams coordinator, so you can be sure that phase of the game is not lost on him. His team’s performance in this area reflects that, too. Heading into Week 7, Baltimore is the only team with both a kickoff return and a punt return touchdown. The Ravens rank No. 1 in kickoff return average (31.8 yards per return) and No. 3 in punt return average (13.8). Additionally, Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer said this week that Baltimore’s kicker (Justin Tucker) and punter (Sam Koch) are the best his team will see this regular season. Tucker is 10 of 12 on field goal tries this season and he is perfect on 13 point after touchdown tries. Harbaugh likely echoes Zimmer’s praise when looking at the Vikings special teams performance this season, particularly with the coverage groups. The Vikings rank No. 4 in punt return average allowed (4.0) and No. 8 in kickoff return average allowed (20.3). In the punting game, the Vikings are one of 10 teams with no touchbacks, they are tied for first with 13 forced fair catches and punter Ryan Quigley has landed 12 of his 26 punts inside the 20.

NFL teams love to talk about “next man up” whenever someone gets injured, but not all men are created equal when it comes to their ability to impact a football game. One prime example of that is in Baltimore, where the Ravens have been playing without defensive tackle Brandon Williams and the results of those efforts make it clear that things aren’t the same when someone else is in his spot. After allowing 170 rushing yards in the first two games with Williams in the lineup, the Ravens have allowed 678 rushing yards in four games without him.

Williams’ foot injury has healed to the point that he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and their chances of having him in the mix on Sunday against the Vikings are looking pretty good.
