43M Posted March 5, 2021 Share Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) Michael Scott is mostly a cringey, unlikable character...and not unlikable in a funny way like Eric Cartman or the entire cast of Always Sunny. He is one of the weaker parts of the cast. Not sure why he gets tauted as a great character. Office is good, but very hit or miss. Both shows are overrated IMO, but Ill go with Breaking Bad. Sopranos is great.. the wife and I are actually rewatching it right now... half way through season one... my third time.. haha I don't mind that some people aren't as high on BB... I actually like most of the characters, including the secondary and tertiary characters. The worst character, by far IMO, is Michael Scott. I hated him the first time I watched the show, and I dislike him even more this time around. He actually drags down my enjoyment of most episodes. He has some parts where his character does something that makes me laugh, but for the most part, the show is notably worse because of him. He is usually just an insufferably selfish person, and the character just isnt funny enough to make you overlook that. Im not quite as high on Breaking Bad as others, but I still recognize its a great show and get why people love it so much. The Office....I dont get. Dont get me wrong....its enjoyable and at times, really funny....but I honestly have no idea how it made it to the final four. Its not even remotely close to other comedies that were in the running. Yea if anything Jim represents the slim scope of common sense in the show, When surrounded by all the other eccentric, stereotypical type characters he stands out as the one beacon of sanity. And really did someone say Pam is an all time worse character.... WTF? She was totally down to Earth and relatable. Imagine working in that Office.
