Pastor Dillon
Mitchell hit more overtime forcing 3s last night than Simmons has made 3s

Golden State had it coming. Thats what you get for keeping garbage clumsy centers around, one of which, "falls" on other players legs and, "closes out" under other players legs as they're landing. Maybe if they actually invested in Centers that weren't flailing bafoons this wouldn't have happened. This is what they chose and therefore had it coming. seminoles1
Simmons is just straight up better than Mitchell. That should be the only argument for Rookie of the Year.
J-ALL-DAY
Simmons should be ROY end of discussion.....However, the Mitchell slander is pretty hilarious. Sure he chucks some, but he's also the lone shot creator the Jazz have on the entire team. And his efficiency is still better than other great rookies from the past. Being a #1 option on a team as a rookie from the perimeter is not easy. Who is the last #1 option that wasn't a big and had good efficiency? LeBron wasn't that efficient, neither was Melo or Durant. Kyrie is probably the lone one of the bunch that came into the league being an efficient scorer. It's not easy, especially when you consider the lack of spacing Utah has at times. And Mitchell down the stretch will always be a threat, which is HUGE, especially come playoff time when the game turns into straight isolation. Simmons is a beast but when your PG can’t shoot the ball it limits his value. Mitchell can knock down a game tying 3 as we saw. Simmons can’t even be trusted to have the ball when the other team is intentionally fouling. Those are big deals. Simmons won’t amount to much if he doesn’t get a shot

But if you are a starting PG and they have to bench you in free throw shooting situations that’s a knock on your ability. Game on the line and I’m taking Mitchell. Game on the line I’m fouling Simmons. Huge difference.
