Pastor Dillon Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Harden was playing at a high level last year in the playoffs and he wet the bed in game 6. It’s fair to blame him for that. What is not fair is to refuse to give him credit for the teams he’s dragged into the post season over the previous several years. There are lots of guys who seem to get more love than Harden, yet Harden has won with garbage. We got the 2 seed a couple years ago with a trash roster that was all beat up. But the problem has always been that in the post season Harden can’t have a bad game because there is no one to step up. Hopefully CP3 will be that guy. No, the problem is Harden completely falls apart at certain points of the series. Played TERRIBLE against the Heat and got outplayed by Mario Chalmers, has like 10 points 13 turnovers against the Warriors in game 5, plays terrible in game 6 against the Clippers but the bench bails him out while he doesn't even see the court in the 4th quarter, plays terrible down the stretch in game 5 vs SA and then we all know what happened in game 6. Then there are other moments like against the Blazers where he was pretty mediocre for his standards. Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley, Corey Brewer, Josh Smith, Terrence Jones, D-Mo. Yeah...What a crap supporting case he's carried. And the Rockets last year were DEEP. Dwight Howard missed 41 games, Patrick Beverly missed part of the season and all of the playoffs, and are you really claiming Brewer, Smith, Jones and Dmo to be a good supporting cast? Harden carried that team. you forgot prior to the rockets getting josh smith and brewer the bench was Tarik black, Papanikolaou, Jason Terry and Joey Dorsey. Capela wasn't established yet. Beverley isn't a factor because he missed the entire post season. Yes Harden carried that team. Also last year's team overachieved by their standards. Nobody had us being THIS good. As seen by the fact that Harden took a year off bc he partied and dated a Kardashian all offseason and the team won 41 games with an MVP candidate level player lol. Are you even understanding what we are talking about? I admit he hasn't performed the playoffs when he matters i even ranted about it on twitter last season when we lost to the spurs so bad that I had to get my tweets to him removed. His criticism is deserved in that regard. I'm talking about the season the rockets ended up as the 2nd seed in the west and people talking about how he didn't "carry" the team.
