drd23
Quote Baltimore Ravens The Ravens had a characteristically solid draft on both sides of the ball. Defensively, they brought in one of the most intriguing prospects in this entire class: Oweh posted underwhelming production in college, but he brings elite athletic traits to develop in the pros. I trust the Ravens to coach him up and cultivate his potential. Offensively, Baltimore did exactly what it needed to do, surrounding Lamar Jackson with some much-needed pass-catching talent. Bateman is a long, athletic, and skilled wideout who could emerge as a true no. 1-type receiver; if he does, that would allow Marquise Brown to shift to a more logical no. 2 role. Grabbing Wallace in the fourth round looks like a great value too, as he adds a big-play, contested-catch specialist to Jackson’s receiving corps. Factor in Cleveland, who looks like the Mountain from Game of Thrones, and I like what Baltimore has done. Grade: B+ https://www.theringer.com/2021/5/1/22415236/nfl-draft-team-grades-picks-rounds-tracker
Johnny Nix
I liked your draft a lot. I think the entire AFC North did well

Despite having a B-, we were actually one of his lower graded teams.

So here's a nice early take layered with stupidity to digest- To be quite honest, while I’m not a fan of this guy and his dumb- takes, I do think this take has the potential to be correct. There were a lot of boom/bust picks in this Al Davis’ esq draft class. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the reasoning of going for the most upside considering the strength of our team’s depth and needing true impact talents to be difference makers and take the team to another level... I also look at this situation and can’t help but think that if the boom/bust options, bust, it could certainly be one of the worst classes we’ve had in recent memory. I don’t think it will though. I think the mentality of Bateman and Wallace are too strong to be WR busts. Then between Wade, Oweh, and Stephens... you’d think at least one would boom. Personally, even considering the apparent strategy and the potential of the class... it’s hard for me to go above grading this class anything more than a flat B considering the amount of additional draft value we had to work with due to the Brown Jr deal. AFlaccoSeagulls
I can't get over "reached on Bateman because no WR wanted to go there in FA"...like wasn't Bateman mocked consistently in the mid/late 1st the entire offseason? And yeah we missed out on freakin JuJu (who took a one year deal to be in a pass-heavy offense and hit FA again next year) and TY Hilton (big whoop) but landed Sammy Watkins, so...?

Yeah with that guy I feel I have to read past the obvious stupid. Such dumb takes consistently. I’m glad to have taken the Chiefs deal than ever engage in a deal “broken” by that bozo. Boodgyman5220
Amazing the consensus of a b from the forum. I love it. Could easily be pushed to an A with early success from two rookies

The TY Hilton one is particularly disingenuous because we kept hearing about how "he turned down more money" when in reality it was a significantly lower AAV than what he got for one-year to remain where he was. The whole narrative is dumb - we could have probably easily convinced any of the guys to whom we were linked to come to Baltimore by overpaying, but that would be stupid. Attacking the Ravens for drafting Rashod Bateman... is like a woman making fun of you for having a big d*ck. In no universe will the criticism actually land/sting. 😂
