NYRaider
Gordon back to Boston? Crazy that the 3 max contract FA's they signed are getting passed around like hot potatoes.

Al Horford is due $53.5M over the next 2 years, and Kemba Walker is due $73.7M over the next 2 years. You saved roughly $10M/year. The backcourt is still a mess. Wrong. Horford has a 50% buy out after this year.

The Jays outgrew him and he didnt fit in any longer in the starting line up and then his injuries piled up and became chronic. His knee issue will have to be managed for the rest of his career. That doesn't make it a good deal simply because you save some money on the deal. what makes it a bad deal?

For me, I would have expected them to either be able to save more future salary or more present salary. But they're doing neither IMO. That is more or less my perception. I was arguing against a comment that called this a bad move.

They’re saving money this year and can buy him out if need be next year. He’s substantially cheaper.
Supersuavesky
Ya'll remember when people were ****ting on the Hornets for not offering a supermax?

Maybe Danny Ainge did deserve to go for giving Hayward, Kemba, and Horford max deals, lol. Boston should trade Horford for Hayward so it all comes full circle.
