Didn't we literally crush the Browns in 2016? 2018 was a slow start but we beat what people thought was a pretty good Falcons team. I remember that one well cause I was at the game. I can't really remember the 2019 game well, but we scored a ton of points.

Regardless you said we started slow under Doug because of preseason stuff. We went 4-1 in opening games behind him and were up by two+ scores in the first half of the Washington game last year before Carson had a massive collapse. It's just not true lol.

If I’m not mistaken we are always like around .500 for the first like 6 weeks. Or we may be winning but playing like crap. And by starting I don’t mean just week 1, the rust with the Eagles under Doug took way more than opening games to come off. It was as if we had to wait to mid season to find out what the team was. Also 2020 was not bad solely because dog Carson it was a collapse all around.

The young guys are getting game time for the most part. It's the starters/vets that are sitting.

Can't help Hurts came down with an illness.

Joint practices are a controlled simulation. I'd say they are pretty valuable.

Of course I wanna see guys play. I'd rather not see Kelce, Brooks, and Johnson out there blocking for Flacco though.

I agree not all vets need to play much, but I'd like to see them at least for a series. It's still a new scheme, but you aren't wrong that they probably don't need the reps.

I thought they would pull Smith/Reagor by now, but they are out there still so that is better than I thought. As I said joint practices are great just not as good as games.

Doesn't really matter that much though cause the guys I wanted to see are getting more time anyways so ya lol.

Ok well if you want to define starting the season as 6 weeks aka almost half a season go for it, but this feels like a massive moving of a goal post. Also those teams were around .500 cause they weren't good teams, not because they didn't play enough in the preseason.
