Even that Clemson vs Georgia game though with two "top 5" teams was absolutely mortifying. That has to be the lowest scoring game between two top 5 teams in college football history. We can all come in here and act like we care about these games but we know the natty will be Alabama vs Clemson/Oklahoma/Ohio State/Georgia. Not a great week 1 for the projected top prospects, Rattler, Howell, Kevon, and Stingley all had issues.

As we've seen with a lot of major programs though, the ones that are able to sustain success are the ones that land elite QB recruits. USC, Texas, LSU, etc. have all completely fallen off without an elite, Heisman level QB.

Rodjahs12
Same Stingley from last season honestly only difference is it’s going to be a lot more difficult for the majority of the public to ignore if he does it two years straight. NYRaider
UCLA's QB has completed 9 passes for 260 yards and 3 TD. DJ & TJ combined completed 41 passes for 313 yards and 0 TD, lol.

Not quite Heisman contenders.

If you lose week 1 you're essentially out of the national title race unless you're an elite program that blows out every other opponent the rest of the season. If you're not though you're headed to the Holiday Inn Bowl.
