onejayhawk
There is no question that I would take the OT if they are both there. Briskers I like in the late 30s and 40s. In the draft above, i took him at the end of round #2, which I consider plausible. Safeties tend to slide. J
mayanfootball
No trade draft. Inclusive is the new #102 pick for front office "theft": 30. Devonte Wyatt, IDL, Georgia; Senior Bowl standout; National Champion 62. Jalen Pitre, S, Baylor; Senior Bowl standout 94. Jalen Tolbert, WR, South Alabama 102. Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Nebraska 133. Dare Rosenthal, OT, Kentucky Edited February 5, 2022 by mayanfootball
onejayhawk
It's OK but you seem to have long arms. Is Wyatt even the best Georgia DT? Then there is Tolbert, who is probably higher ranked than Pitre. On trade back, which picks up an extra 3rd. 32: R1 P32 CB Andrew Booth Jr. - Clemson 62: R2 P30 S Daxton Hill - Michigan 66: R3 P2 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia 94: R3 P30 EDGE Boye Mafe - Minnesota 132: R4 P30 OT Dare Rosenthal - Kentucky

kingseanjohn
Got bored and did a 4 rounder on TDN. 30. DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M 62. Lewis Cine, S Georgia 94. Wan'Dale Robinson, WR Kentucky 102. Sam Williams, DE Ole Miss 133. Romeo Doubs, WR Nevada If this actually happened, I would be soo happy. onejayhawk
DeMarvin Leal is going to last to #30? I don't think so. Cine too. I rate him ahead of Brisker, which is one reason I think Brisker is a possible 2nd round pick. Robinson is solid in the 3rd. I think Williams is a bit light for DE but he's decent value. Overall I love the draft but I don't think it's realistic. J

I still think Pitre is a reach. I make him the 5th or 6th S which makes round #2 too rich. J
RedGold
I'll play. Draft Network. I made one big trade for fun. #30/#240/#248 for #69/#109/#115/#145/#162/2023 5th #62- Boye Mafe, Edge Minnesota #69 - Alontae Taylor, CB Tennessee #94 - Sam Williams, Edge Ole Miss #102 - Nick Cross, Saf Maryland #109 - Coby Bryant, CB Cinci #115 - Otito Ogbonnia, DT UCLA #133 - Dameon Pierce RB, Florida #145 - Romeo Doubs, WR Nevada #162 - Dane Belton, Saf Iowa #189 - Neil Farrell Jr., DT LSU #230 - Josh Johnson, WR Tulsa Did not really plan on going THAT defensive heavy, but the top players kept being on D. Got two of my favorite CB's for Spags scheme, and Belton is a nice fit down in the box. WR is a little tough, Doubs is probably gone before that and both players taken late probably will be taken earlier. KC_Guy
1-30 Roger McCreary CB Auburn 2-62 Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama 3-94 Josh Paschal Edge Kentucky 3-102 Kerby Joseph S Illinois 4-132 D'Marco Jackson LB Appalachian State An alternative to Jackson in the fourth would have been OT Luke Goedeke or one of a whole bunch of RB. Assuming the loss of Hitchens I thought LB might be of more value here. Edited February 6, 2022 by KC_Guy

There are some nice values in there. Doubling on both Edge and DT is also good. The one thing missing is OT. 2 hours ago, KC_Guy said: 1-30 Roger McCreary CB Auburn 2-62 Jalen Tolbert WR South Alabama 3-94 Josh Paschal Edge Kentucky 3-102 Kerby Joseph S Illinois 4-132 D'Marco Jackson LB Appalachian State An alternative to Jackson in the fourth would have been OT Luke Goedeke or one of a whole bunch of RB. I just tried to push as many top picks into the top 175, draft kinda tops out after that imo. The Rams have been doing this for years, stockpile mid/late picks so that have plenty of darts at depth. That’s how they’re able to trade away so many high picks.
onejayhawk
We have five picks in the top 150, so that flies. Then we get five more in the last 50. We can afford to draft our UDFA targets. There is a lot of emphasis on WR in drafts. I personally think that your approach is better than using a premium pick. Daurice Fountain and Cornell Powell are as good as 90% of the draft candidates. Better to use the top picks for DL or OT. Here's one in the same vein, with a couple of trade backs. 30: R1 P30 OT Bernhard Raimann - Central Michigan 84: R3 P20 DL Perrion Winfrey - Oklahoma 94: R3 P30 EDGE Zach Harrison - Ohio State 97: R3 P33 WR Jalen Tolbert - South Alabama 106: R4 P4 WR George Pickens - Georgia 132: R4 P30 RB Hassan Haskins - Michigan Edited February 6, 2022 by onejayhawk

This is absolutely not true. There’sa reason these guys aren’t in active rosters somewhere. We need help at WR. I feel like you’re over evaluating what we have, I hope Powell steps up, I hope Fortson comes back in the TE/WR hybrid. But we can’t just pretend everything is fine. Yeah that kind of thinking is how we end up trotting Demarcus Robinson out on the last series in the AFC Championship. Draft over them, If they step up. It’s a bonus, instead of counting on it. Not saying we have to take someone at 30, but if someone’s there that contribute at WR I’m all for it. The talented guys don’t drop often. It's no pretense to say this is a workable group. We can use an upgrade but a rookie coming in has the same learning curve as Powell and Fountain, but a year behind. I think a veteran FA is more likely than a high draft pick.
