If you look at the cap as a year-to-year, thing, sure. He manages it fine.

If you look at the cap as a long-term thing where you don't have to continually rely on hitting on as many draft picks as you can, he's a failure. 1-2 bad drafts back to back, and the Saints go back to being 7-9 for 4 straight years... or worse, because well, you don't have a QB.

When you look at the long term? He’s been GM for 15 years.

so what’s the falcons excuse for being the Saints little brother when apparently loomis is a cap managing failure?

Maybe his standard for long term good team is the Patriots? If so, then we unfortunately didn't make the cut. Seems about on par with claiming Michael Thomas is a higher volume Sanu 🤣

Is this not an exact quote?

Bro he just said a 15-year GM is a failure if you ignore the year to year and look at the long term, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a good take

Michael Thomas, as PFTCommenter said on Twitter this morning, is the absolute king of paid medical leave right now. This was the least surprising result this season from him.

Next season he should get someone pregnant and take 12 weeks off for paternity leave, I would like that precedent set as well.

I'm saying without Drew Brees, the franchise is going to die sooner than you realize. He was the glue holding it together. Not loomis. Not Payton. Now I'll sit back and watch you burn.
