Many people have said the Darnold has small hands. Very unfair and untrue! Hands are some of the best and biggest around! I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. And that's not all that's big!

His grandfather's name wasn't **** Hammer for no reason. ;)

Or just work on his grip strength.

Grip strength isn't the issue. His hands are smaller and he grips the ball wrong. He holds the ball too close to the middle of the ball and further down the seams, he needs to grip it closer to the nose of the football to account for his smaller hands. Goff grips the ball a little closer to the nose of the football, which is part of why he hasn't had too many issues. Matthew Stafford, for example, also has smaller-ish hands and has issues with fumbles at times because he's inconsistent with his grip on the ball. Darnold is trying to grip a wider part of the ball with smaller hands, it isn't going to work if he keeps that same grip. Guys like Russell Wilson can grip the ball however they want because their hand is large enough to do so.

This all is likely true, but that doesn't rule out grip strength as part of the issue.
