Are you smarter than Gutekunst?? ........... 2022 shadow draft

No qualms with Watson. If GB gave up that much for him, they believe in him and not Pickens.

I can accept that.

Knowing they didn't have Pickens high, I wonder how that would change my view on round 1. Probably Tyler Smith and Cine.

But these picks are growing on me.

pick 92    i would have taken Nick Cross at Safety.

Felt like there were other options at OL that could be had in the 4th vs what may be there for safety in the upcoming rounds

22:  George Karlaftis (over Quay Walker, though I didn't watch Walker  much outside of of the CFP games live.  Like what he brings in versatility)
28:  Devonte Wyatt
34:  Christian Watson (love the player, would have liked a day 3 pick coming back in the deal, but water under the bridge)
92:  Nick Cross (over Sean Rhyan)

I think my primary take away from this exercise is that I don't have any major issues with what Gute did on the first two days.  I don't pretend that my knowledge of the prospects extends beyond day two, so this is about as far as I go.  It will be interesting to see how some of the different decisions made in this thread play out over the next few years.

Live:

22: Karlaftis
28: Devonte Wyatt
53: Skyy Moore
59: Greg Dulcich
92: Zach Tom (gutted Tolbert just went)

If I had the power of hindsight:

22: Karlaftis
28: Christian Watson
53: Skyy Moore
59: Travis Jones
93: Zach Tom

the benefit of hindsight allows you to see what players last until when and that certainly influences earlier picks.  Fair to do both, but you can easily shift focus as players last longer than what you thought they might
