swoosh
Great career. He was so important to the Falcons' offensive success during his time in Atlanta. Centers don't get talked about much, but it's one of those positions where that's a good thing. Nobody appreciates a good center until he's not there anymore.
TheKillerNacho
Writing was on the wall when he restructured. Best of luck to him in retirement. 49ers now have a glaring hole at Center.
TheRealMcCoy
I was figuring he was probably done soon. Great career. Enjoy retirement Alex.
Jeezla
Assumed he would be like a 9 or 10x pro bowler. Which AFC C's were getting in over him when he was a Brown? He's the only C I would admit to being better than Kelce, because his pass protection was superb instead of just good. Alex Mack is the first film aspiring NFL C's should watch. The big, scary issue will be the guard spots now. Those are potentially awful.
Forge
One thing I like about this regime - Earlier today they guaranteed 500K of his contract that he wouldn't have seen if he retired. He now gets that as a parting gift from the organization.

If I had to guess just based on the AFC at the time without looking, I'm guessing Maurkice Pouncey and Nick Mangold.

Jeezla
Did he win any all-pros? I feel like he's an eye-ball test HoFer, but 7 pro bowls, no all-pros? Hall of very good. Edited June 2, 2022 by Jeezla
