salary cap and contract league.   12 team super flex, with 0.5 ppr.    Really like my team, but would like to add a more consistent RB2.  I am 4-1 and top scoring team in league (150 points above the next highest ... 771 to 617

roster below with salary and contract info below.  I have $99 cap space available and all my picks 1-4 next year plus an additional 2nd

  • IR players count 50% of their salary toward salary cap (once moved onto IR, you can't move them back to active roster
  • max rollover of unused salary is $200

Right now, some RB options that are on bottom teams

  • Ekeler -- 1 year remaining $134

10 team salary cap with contracts.  Super flex and 0.5 ppr

How do you see this trade??

Team A gives

J Taylor and ARSB ( both on cheap rookie contracts)

Team B gives

Tua, Gibson, Claypool + 2023 2nd ( all 3 of them on rookie contracts)

******

I had a trade for Taylor vetoed this offseason. 2 firsts + some filler pieces for Taylor

Honestly, I'm pretty awful at salary cap leagues. This one doesn't make a ton of sense to me, though.  ARSB should be one of the best value assets in the entire league. In the one salary cap league I'm in, I think he's barely over minimum for 4 years ? Like $2 / 4 years.

Tua doesn't have any real value unless it's a 2 QB league in my opinion, and even then I think he may be closer to 20 than 10, though depending on what his rookie contract looks like that could be some value. Gibson is basically fodder and Claypool is maybe a WR 3-4?

The salary impact for these players is minimal.  Taylor $4, the rest are in the $1.5 -$3 range.  So they don't really alter the values.  It's mind blowing it was accepted

PPR

Would you trade Hopkins or Olave for Aaron Jones?

1) My RBs are Ekeler, Eno Benjamin, Tyler Allgier, and injured Elijah Mitchell.

2) My WRs are Juju, Olave, Hopkins, Gallup, Mooney, and Thornton

this is an 18 team league (lol) so there are plenty of really bad teams. I think with or without either of Olave/Hopkins I’m really solid. Thoughts?

My team is:

Herbert

Ekeler/Benjamin/Allgier/*Mitchell

JuJu/*Hopkins

Olave

Pitts

Gallup/Thornton/Mooney

Pats/Rams D/ST

Salary cap follows the NFL.   Rookies are on fixed salaries.

  • 1st round $4
  • 2nd round $3
  • 3rd round $2
  • 4th round $1.50
  • 5th round $1
  • 6th round $0.50

This year we moved to a tiered rookie wage scale for rounds 1 and 2 with rounds 3-6 remaining the same as above  pick 1.1 is at around 4% of the league cap ($208 in 2022)

if you are confident that Jones and the GB offense gets things together.  otherwise, I think something lesser might be decent.  maybe a Gallup/Mooney + Allgeier package would be a place to start.

He wants one of Hopkins/Olave. He said he was looking for a good WR - I said Mooney, Gallup, Juju all available and then he asked for one of those two.

I think I will do it. Question is which one? Hopkins is better but it seems like Olave has the rare combination of constant big play, a **** ton of targets, and being the team’s top option.

I’d do that…you have the WR depth to spare.

Kinda in a bind…Im 6-0 and most pts scored in league.

Full ppr and start 2 flex.

My team consists of Burrow/Diggs/Mike Williams/Saquon/Hall/Ertz and what used to be Marquise Brown and Alec Pierce the past 2 weeks in my flex spots.

I honestly don’t have much depth anywhere.

With Brown now out 6+ weeks and their bye week probably…should I consider moving Barkley or Hall for a pretty nice return?

Was thinking along the lines of something like a low end RB1 and solid WR2…maybe a Joe Mixon/josh jacobs + DK/Pitttman type of return.

Just wanted some opinion on whether I should try to make a deal or just ride it out.

I'd send Hopkins.  He had a down year for himself last year and could be a crowded WR depending on Brown's injury.  I think Olave has more upside the remainder of the season.

He changed it to Trevor Lawrence because two of his QBs had the same bye week ( there's a cap on how many QBs you can roster).

Think they is still a go for me though

I have a similar team (Cousins, Barkley, Hall, Chase, Brown, Andrews, Ken Walker) and I hate losing Brown for an extended period.  I am filling in with Ayuik, Garrett Wilson, and DJ Moore in the mean time and I think I am ok with that for now.  The packages you suggested are solid, and may help but riskier with production that isnt as consistent.  Might be worth selling high on Barkley but I always find it hard to sell the most valuable player in the deal.
