Monday, Oct. 10    vs. Las Vegas Raiders (MNF)

This ought to be an easy one but somehow the Raiders never are easy.

It's all good.......I mean really, Carr vs. Mahomes?.........c'mon man. No driving around Arrowhead this year!!

It's game day. What are you watching for tonight?

The Raiders are 1-3 for a reason. While they have lost some close games, hence not quite as bad as their record, they are not doing well on either defense or offense. This is despite having some top names on both sides of the ball. On defense the have Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones but only five sacks through four games. On offense they have Devonte Adams but have struggled in the Red Zone and are middle of the league in TD catches.

  • Will we be as focused as we were against Brady and the Bucs?
  • Which pass rush is the most effective?
  • Which ground game provides better counterpoint?
  • What role will injuries play?

Some articles with their ideas.

Raiders have been good in phases. Just haven't put together a full game. The offense has been great outside the red zone where they can't score. This has been a problem for years with Carr and McDaniels hasn't found the solution yet. The will get Renfrow back who's missed the last 2 games which should help.

Defense has had some really good moments and comically bad moments. Jones is proving a FA bust thus far getting after the QB. It's all Maxx with no interior pass rush. Perryman has been in and out of the lineup. Defense noticeably better with him in. They picked up Blake Martinez this week to help on running downs.

This is the healthiest the Raiders have been since week 1. KC is going to get their best shot. Question is how well McDaniel's can game plan for Carr. Arrowhead has never been kind to him. Worth noting, he usually plays there late in cold weather where he's never been great.

Raiders need to establish the run. Jacobs is playing his best football right now and KC hasn't been tested much on the ground seeing as they get teams off schedule early.

who are you talking about? Perryman is the MLB.

Deablo mainly,  I would assume he still see's a large majority of the snaps.

Not saying he doesn't have potential.   That is just usually a staple of Andy's gameplan against a young LB.
