vike daddy
Of Cousins' 54 pass attempts, 16 went to Osborn. He hauled in 10 receptions for 157 yards — his first career 100-yard game — and the Vikings first touchdown of the game with 8:22 left in the third quarter. O'Connell: "I told K.J. a few weeks back that his time was coming. Regardless with how our offense is evolving, his value to us, I just knew it would happen. I didn't necessarily envision maybe the scenario that played out today. But think back. Some of those catches, conversions, his willingness to catch, get north, the yards after catch, critical plays for our team. People won't see some of the blocking that he did, helping spring some of those underneath completions." https://www.vikings.com/news/analyzing-how-north-was-won-through-historic-comeback-vs-colts?fbclid=IwAR17rVBh6ssDZBPDhT9w-TK5mgF6uhmg5ZxcuStQXQcO7jWTdHzLJvSrTmM
vike daddy
In overtime, the Vikings could have settled for the tie when they got the ball back with 1:41 left. O'Connell considered running the clock out because a tie would solidify their position as division champions. He decided to start with a run and then make his call from there about whether to be aggressive. O'Connell: "It was very much in my head. That's why the last time we got the ball, we started the drive out with a run. All I wanted to see is: can we get a new set of downs? [Cook gained six yards on the ensuing play] There's moments where it says a lot of about your confidence in your team. I wanted to win this football game. I thought our team earned the right to win the game." https://www.vikings.com/news/analyzing-how-north-was-won-through-historic-comeback-vs-colts?fbclid=IwAR17rVBh6ssDZBPDhT9w-TK5mgF6uhmg5ZxcuStQXQcO7jWTdHzLJvSrTmM

Playing for one would have been such a disappointment and a gut punch for the players. Glad he stayed aggressive.

vike daddy
The NFL fined Chandon Sullivan $9,444 for unsportsmanlike conduct after he removed his helmet in frustration over a blown call by officials. Colts running back Deon Jackson fumbled at the Indianapolis 39, and Sullivan returned it for a touchdown. Officials, though, ruled Jackson down by contact. Replay fixed part of the error, giving the ball to the Vikings, but officials could not award them a touchdown. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/12/23/chandon-sullivan-fined-9444-for-removing-his-helmet/ The Vikings were hopping mad about a hit that Colts cornerback Stephon Gilmore put on wide receiver Justin Jefferson last week, and the league disciplinary process has confirmed that Gilmore crossed the line. Gilmore was fined $15,914 for his hit on Jefferson, in which he launched into Jefferson on a pass over the middle. Colts defensive lineman DeForest Buckner was also fined $15,914 for a roughing the passer penalty he committed against Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/12/23/stephon-gilmore-fined-15914-for-hit-on-justin-jefferson/ Edited December 24, 2022 by vike daddy

Sullivan should have gotten an apology and a gift basket.
