If Carr played well he’d still have trade value. He wasn’t good last year and is set to get paid like an elite dude which is why we moved on lol

first year in a new system behind a shaky OL with two of his top targets out for most of the year. Id rather have kept him another year to see what an improved grasp of the offense, an improved OL and better health could do, rather than just cutting him outright and not have a legit plan in place.

im just seeing too many excuses and not enough production from this new regime. What have they done the past year that tells you were on the right path? Even the DA trade is questionable  because of the assets we gave up and the timeline of where were at with the roster and DAs age, by the time we hopefully got it figured out Adams will be on his last legs. The only HR theyve hit so far was extending Maxx.

Just way too inconsistent this year. OL wasn’t great but Carr had one of the longest average times to throw and was one of the least sacked starting QBs in the league this year. PFF had our OL as the 10th best unit in the league at the end of the season.

How else were they going to get Carr to sign what was essentially a prove it deal?

if they didnt want to commit, they should have just traded him then. They covered for themselves both off-seasons, but when do they start making moves that benefit the team? Like i a said before the only transaction  they have made that is an unquestioned W is resigning Maxx, and who wouldnt have done that?
