Round 2

2.1 Berlin- Tuli Tuipolutu Edge USC

Berlin adds to their defense again with a jumbo size end capable of stuffing the run and getting after the QB on the edge. Has some versatility to move inside on passing downs and let Baron Browning rush off the edge.

Pros: Very productive and young. Can win in a variety of ways. Stout body type to hold the edge and not get bullied against the run. Had a knack for making plays in the backfield this year.

Cons: Not sure of his athletic profile or his arm length. Kind of in that tweener role which doesn’t have to be a negative but can often stick players in a lack of role refinement and development. Bend is not his way to win.

Berlin Edge Room:

Trey Hendrickson, Tuli Tuipolutu, Baron Browning, Yetur Gross-Matos, Trevis Gipson, Nik Bonitto

Hendrickson is a good starter and Browning and Bonitto offer similar skill set type of rushers. YGM hasn’t lived up to the billing and Tuli fits more of his type of big bodied edge player which I can see Berlin wanting to fill that role so Tuli fits in this group perfectly.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Trey Hendrickson
INT- Derrick Brown
INT- Quinnen Williams (3up)
Edge- Tuli Tuipolutu
LB- Tremaine Edmunds (3up)
LB- Kyzir White
CB- Kelee Ringo
CB- Donte Jackson
CB- Eric Stokes
S- Antoine Winfield Jr
S- Juan Thornhill (3up)

Again covered the defense already but adding Ringo and Tuli gives Berlin two young players with a world full of potential to keep developing and provide them with impact defenders. Tuli is a base end here and as mentioned can move inside while Hendrickson and Browning attack off the edges giving Berlin a varied way to attack with their front. This versatility also allows him to give the interior guys some rest as well.

2.2 Gotham- Will Levis QB Uk

A talented risk here. Levis gives another potential QBOTF to the Mac Jones/Trey Lance Corps. He has his warts but for a team with two firsts, three seconds and more it could be worth the gamble here.

Pros: Strong arm and athleticism. Has good size and those prototypical tools. Held back by the offensive scheme some this year. Experience in some pro style systems however.

Cons: Pocket presence needs a lot of work. Too many interceptions over the past two years. 24 years old. Mechanics get lazy at times depending too much on the arm strength won’t have as open windows in the NFL. Disappeared at times in big games.

Gotham QB Room:

Mac Jones, Trey Lance, Will Levis

Mac is getting an actual offensive coordinator and may have an improve year. Lance is still a wild card. Levis might not start right away depending on system. Three gambles for the gambling man Whicker. One has to hit right?

Projected Starters:
QB- Mac Jones
RB- Elijah Mitchell
WR- Tyreek Hill
WR- Tee Higgins
WR- Alec Pierce
TE- Juwan Johnson
LT- Jake Matthews
LG- Shaq Mason
C- Chase Rouiller
RG- Jackson Carman
RT- Jack Conklin

This offense has a lot of passing potential. They need a stud back to carry the load. Carman fits in at guard here but Gotham will need more interior oline help. Juwan Johnson is an underrated receiving option at TE. Hill and Higgins speak for themselves and Pierce showed some potential to be that third option. A lot will depend on the QBs for this team next season.

2.3 Seoul- Zay Flowers WR BC

A smaller electric separator can play in the slot or outside and fills a big need for Seoul with his versatility.

Pros: Quick and fast. Can separate and get in and out of breaks. Produced a high volume of touchdowns this season. Can turn a short gain into an explosive play at any time.

Cons: Smaller frame and height. Not going to be a contested catch wizard. Isn’t going to be able to beat press with strength. Will be limited as a run blocker.

Seoul WR Room:

George Pickens, Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, DeVante Parker

Pickens, a healthy Bateman and Zay would be a nice versatile trio for Stroud to work with. MVS did some things at the end of the year that may secure him a spot as the fourth wide receiver.

Projected Starters:
QB- CJ Stroud
RB- Kenneth Walker
WR- George Pickens
WR- Rashod Bateman
WR- Zay Flowers
TE- Travis Kelce
LT- Ronnie Stanley
LG- Joe Thuney
C- Josh Myers
RG- Alijah Vera-Tucker
RT- Spencer Brown

I already shared what the base 2TE personnel would look like but here is the 3 wide. Flowers can fit in the slot as a quick separator and still provide some plays outside. Provides a big play threat that can challenge the seam.

2.4 Gotham- Jahmyr Gibbs RB Bama

Gotham gets their RB they need for their offense. A speedy player who is a receiving natural he would fit nicely in the four wide attacks Gotham likes to implement.

Pros: Speed and explosion. Receiving ability. Young (20). Playmaker who has experience in two different systems. Can create in space and be gone with any wiggle room.

Cons: Can he be a bell cow? Size. Power isn’t completely lacking but there are some situations he was unable to pick up the tough yards do to not having enough. Pass pro could use work.

Gotham RB Room:

Jahmyr Gibbs, Elijah Mitchell, Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Gibbs instantly becomes the starter here. Mitchell and CEH are backups so Gotham could add another back or two later in the draft as lottery tickets and restocking the position.

Projected Starters:
QB- Mac Jones
RB- Jahmyr Gibbs
WR- Tyreek Hill
WR- Tee Higgins
WR- Alec Pierce
TE- Juwan Johnson
LT- Jake Matthews
LG- Shaq Mason
C- Chase Rouiller
RG- Jackson Carman
RT- Jack Conklin

Gibbs adds an element that was lacking before and he can be a QBs best friend with his ability to take the pressure off of him while also being a nice check down option with his ability as a receiver and ability to create in space.

2.5 Hungary- Calijah Kancey INT Pitt

Kancey provides Hungary with an interior penetrating force. He is undersized but some want to compare him to another Pitt great at DT. While I don’t agree he still has his own redeeming qualities.

Pros: Explosive inside. Quick off the ball and has more strength than one would expect for his size. He provides a very valuable skill set which is interior pressure. Can work on stunts and twists and get outside effectively. Can be a penetrating run stopper as well.

Cons: Size is the biggest con with lack of length. Will be hard to be an every down player. Will need to have a big body next to him to occupy blocks and free him up. Really more scheme dependent than scheme versatile imo.

Hungary INT Room:

Larry Ogunjobi, Calijah Kancey, Ndamukong Suh

Talk about some tough names to spell all at one position. Kancey helps in starting to get this defense built. The trio could still use more improvement but this is a start. Suh is older and Ogunjobi isn’t as productive so a youth movement here is a must.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Emmanuel Ogbah
INT- Larry Ogunjobi
INT- Calijah Kancey
Edge- Carlos Dunlap
LB- Shaq Thompson
LB- Logan Wilson (RFA)
CB- Devon Witherspoon
CB- Roger McCreary
CB - Emmanuel Mosley
S- Harrison Smith
S- Chuck Clark

They need to generate a pass rush and don’t really see an edge worth the pick so Kancey inside will hopefully help this defense with bringing that pressure.

2.6 Raleigh- Quentin Johnston WR TCU

Big bodied receiver with plenty of speed and athleticism and a level of smoothness not normally seen in someone his size fits a huge need for Raleigh here.

Pros: Big and fast. Has some quickness in his ability out of cuts and off the line. A deep threat with great size. Breaks tackles. Has the size to be a blocking plus on the outside.

Cons: Not a hands catcher. Doesn’t make contested catches or high point the ball as well as you’d expect for someone his size. Skinny lower half might be prone to lower body injuries. Plays like a shiftier receiver in a big body.

Raleigh WR Room:

Quentin Johnston, Tutu Atwell, David Bell, Jaylen Guyton, Amari Rodgers, Marquez Callaway, D’Wayne Eskridge, Justyn Ross

Johnston instantly becomes the number one receiver in Raleigh. This is a group that needs a massive overhaul and getting Johnston here at 22 overall is well worth the risk considering the need for this team.

Projected Starters:
QB- Anthony Richardson
RB- Christian McCaffrey
WR- Quentin Johnston
WR- Tutu Atwell
WR- David Bell
TE- Mark Andrews
LT- Jordan Mailata
LG- Landon Dickerson
C- Garrett Bradbury
RG- Isaac Seumalo
RT- ?

Offense could be coming along with some very boom or bust picks in AR and QJ. Johnston has that downfield ability to take advantage of Richardson’s arm as does Tutu. Bell could provide a nice slot option with Andrews still likely being the number one target in the passing game with McCaffrey 2nd/3rd with the addition of Johnston.

2.7 Greenland- Brian Branch DB Bama

A versatile sure tackler, Branch isn’t likely an elite athlete but he is a heck of a football player. Will fill in nicely at SS/Apex.

Pros: Versatility on a SEC defense.  Pretty sure tackler and can come up and lay the boom. Can cover TE’s and RB’s in man and has a solid feel for some.

Cons: Not the most athletic or biggest safety. Could make more plays on the ball. Despite being touted as a possible a lot corner wouldn’t play him in man against slot receivers.

Greenland S Room:

Justin Simmons, Brian Branch

It’s just these two currently but they form a nice duo. Simmons with his single high ability and Branch in the box. Some more depth will need to be added but a good addition to the starting defense in Branch.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Travon Walker
INT- DeForest Buckner
INT- Phidarian Mathis
Edge- Drake Jackson
LB- Roquan Smith (3up)
LB- Devin Lloyd
CB- Marshon Lattimore
CB- Tariq Woolen
CB- Christian Gonzalez
S- Justin Simmons
S- Brian Branch

That’s one heck of a secondary there and a defense overall. One edge and one INT could use upgrades if the young guys don’t develop but this is a scary unit for opposing offenses to have to face and contains some very versatile defenders.

2.8 Anchorage- Lukas Van Ness Edge Iowa

I sense a theme with our DE’s from the Big10 Hubbard, Hutchison and now Van Ness... The type of power edge I like to complement some of my smaller speed rushers, Highsmith, Houston and Parsons.

Pros: Great power, size and plus athleticism. Strong player still raw and moldable. Strong against the run and has versatility to kick inside on passing downs. One move but is very good at it.

Cons: Not bendy and limited experience. Was not a starter. Not going to win with speed off the edge. Is he too one dimensional?

Anchorage Edge Room:

Alex Highsmith, Aidan Hutchinson, Sam Hubbard, Lukas Van Ness, James Houston, Jonathan Greenard

A good edge room with different flavors. When Parsons is added in provides a whole other element. Van Ness will fit nicely and doesn’t have to start right away as he works his way into the rotation.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Alex Highsmith
INT- Vita Vea
INT- Ed Oliver
Edge- Aidan Hutchinson
LB- Micah Parsons
LB- Isaiah Simmons
CB- Patrick Surtain ll
CB- Jaycee Horn
CB- Jaylon Johnson
S- Talanoa Hufanga
S- Kam Curl

We bring back plenty of players from our championship D back minus two impact safeties. Van Ness as stated won’t start but fits into the rotation and hopefully becomes more of a full time player in the future.

2.9 Cuba- Emmanuel Forbes CB Miss State

What fun it is to pair college teammates and Cuba does that here pairing Forbes with Emerson. Cuba has a young corner group I really like and don’t think this is necessarily a need but it’s a good pick in a league you can never have enough cover men.

Pros: Length and playmaking ability. Interception machine. 6 career pick sixes. Not afraid to support the run.

Cons: Thin frame and might lack deep speed. Better zone corner than man right now.

Cuba CB Room:

Shaquill Griffin, Kenny Moore, Martin Emerson, Alontae Taylor, Coby Bryant, Emmanuel Forbes, Kader Kohou, Brandon Stephens, Myles Bryant

A whole lot of guys under contract and may 3up Denzel Ward as well. Different skill sets galore. Forbes might not see the field much his rookie year but he will have time to develop and become something in the future.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Maxx Crosby
INT- Tershawn Wharton (RFA)
INT- Rashad Weaver
Edge- Rashan Gary
LB- Eric Kendricks
LB- Channing Tindall
CB- Denzel Ward (3up)
CB- Martin Emerson
CB- Alontae Taylor
S- Derwin James
S- JT Woods (ERFA)

There are some holes to fill on the interior and at one safety spot (depth needed as well). Cuba has the money to spend to fill these needs. LBer depth is also needed. Two stud pass rushers and young corners/James make for this defense to have great potential once all the other pieces are put into place.

2.10 Gotham- BJ Ojulari Edge LSU

Another front four player with the talented edge rusher Ojulari. His game is similar to AK but having another edge option who can get after it is a nice way for Gotham to keep building.

Pros: Bendy, relentless, closing speed. BJ has a lot of upside to keep developing and growing as a pass rusher with counters. He has shown the ability to move to a second move while rushing something that is very valuable. NFL Bloodlines.

Cons: Size and run stopping. He isn’t a 4-3 3 down edge. More of a pass rusher. In a 3-4 limited drops in coverage but might have more of a role. Either way he needs to still develop his game against the run. Doesn’t look to have the same freakish arm length as his brother.

Gotham Edge Room:

Myles Murphy, BJ Ojulari, Arnold Ebiketie, AJ Epenesa, Jordan Smith

Already touched on this group but adding Ojulari strengthens the unit and this is becoming a good young corps for Gotham to hunt QBs with.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Myles Murphy
INT- Chris Jones
INT- Jalen Carter
Edge- BJ Ojulari
LB- Jamin Davis
LB- Christian Harris
CB- Sauce Gardner
CB- Tyson Campbell
CB- Xavien Howard
S- Micah Hyde
S- Trevon Moehrig

This is the third time addressing this defense not much to say other than I really like the way that Dline is coming together and this defense has a strong chance to be a force to be reckoned with.

2.11 Lancaster- Cam Smith CB Scar

Lancaster needs a third corner and Cam Smith is the best on the board.

Pros: SEC battle tested. Can make plays on the ball. Has good length. Appears to be a great athlete. Good instincts when the ball is in the air.

Cons: Lost some reps in his career he shouldn’t have lost. Could stand to add some muscle. Man corner who needs refinement in zone. Can get bullied against bigger receivers. Already 23.

Lancaster CB Room:

Jalen Ramsey, Jaire Alexander, Cam Smith, Jason Verrett, Kindle Vildor, Akayleb Evans

I have Lancaster 3upping Jaire. Smith can start on the outside opposite Ramsey and Jaire can play in the nickel. The other corners aren’t anything to write home about and poor JV has had more injuries than anyone I can recall.

Projected Starters:
Edge- TJ Watt
INT- Kenny Clark
INT- Justin Madubuike
Edge- Joey Bosa
LB- Fred Warner
LB- Malcolm Rodriguez
CB- Jalen Ramsey
CB- Jaire Alexander (3up)
CB- Cam Smith
S- Minkah Fitzpatrick (3up)
S- Darrick Forrest

A very good defense at all three levels. Cam allows them to follow man matchups against 3 wide and hopefully not lose much as he is very pro ready to contribute right away. Forrest was underrated last year and could be a starter going forward or could end up a spot Lancaster needs to upgrade. 3upping Jaire and Minkah is key to keeping a very good defense intact. Watt and Bosa are game wreckers when healthy. Malcolm is a young up and comer playing next to and learning from one of the best in Warner. Great group.

2.12 Anchorage- Drew Sanders LB Arkansas

Still learning the off ball position Sanders was productive and has a lot of great traits. He can be a pass rusher from the second level and fits what I like to do with my linebackers.

Pros: Great length and frame. Athletic ability to close on plays in front of him. Can rush the passer and erase RPOs.

Cons: Still developing instincts. Needs to grow his mass. Missed tackles. Still developing his coverage and feel for zones.

Anchorage LB Room:

Micah Parsons, Isaiah Simmons, Drew Sanders, Kenneth Murray Jr

A very athletic group headlined by Micah Parsons. Simmons and Murray are in the last years of their deals so hoping Sanders develops as a contributor to our LBer corps. Murray hasn’t lived up to expectations but had some strong moments last year against the run. Simmons has been used in so many positions that hopefully Gannon and Co stick him with one identity.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Alex Highsmith
INT- Vita Vea
INT- Ed Oliver
Edge- Aidan Hutchinson
LB- Micah Parsons
LB- Isaiah Simmons
LB- Drew Sanders
CB- Patrick Surtain ll
CB- Jaycee Horn
S- Talanoa Hufanga
S- Kam Curl

I already discussed my Defense and the nickel base but here is a 4-3 look with the new draft pick slated in.

2.13 Berlin- Darnell Washington TE UGA

This is a complimentary pick for Berlin and allows them a giant target to pair with Goedert and give them a run blocking force on the edge.

Pros: Huge frame and length. Strong and more athletic than one would suspect. Can high point on, run over, and jump over defenders. Great run blocker on the edge.

Cons: While athletic he probably isn’t a deep seam stretcher. Still needs to cultivate his route running and feel for some coverage. His big body is a big target for hits and worried he doesn’t protect himself.

Berlin TE Room:

Dallas Goedert, Hunter Henry, Darnell Washington

Goedert is TE 1 and Henry is someone with a price tag they may want to move on from. Enter Washington and this is a big bodied group that can run block and allow Berlin to use different alignments to support their run and pass game

Projected Starters:
QB- Bryce Young
RB- Isaih Pacheco
WR- Garrett Wilson
WR- Drake London
TE- Dallas Goedert
TE- Darnell Washington
LT- Kolton Miller
LG- Nate Davis
C- Corey Linsely
RG- Spencer Burford
RT- Tristan Wirfs

I shared what the base 3 wide would look like but here is a 2TE set with Washington in the lineup. That’s a fun group that Berlin would have there.

2.15 Cancun- Isaiah Foskey Edge ND

Two ND players in back to back rounds for Cancun! Foskey provides them a nice edge rotation player with the ability to become a full time starter.

Pros: Productive solid player against both the pass and run. Good size to hold the edge and enough length to keep tackles off him. Has some nice array of moves.

Cons: What kind of athlete is he? Looks solid on film but does he stand out enough to be a true game changer? Feels like a higher floor lower ceiling edge type.

Cancun Edge Room:

Kayvon Thibodeaux, Greg Rousseau, Isaiah Foskey

KT and Rousseau are starters and Foskey provides them with a third young rusher to keep them fresh.

Projected Starters:
Edge- Kayvon Thibodeaux
INT- Jonathan Allen
INT- Travis Jones
Edge- Greg Rousseau
LB- Peter Werner
LB- Ernest Jones
CB- Tre White
CB- Jack Jones
Apex- Jalen Pitre
S- Kevin Byard
S- Marcus Williams

Good defense that utilizes versatility to attack different offensive matchups week in and week out. Could use a bigger body at corner opposite White  and I expect more resources will be utilized on the interior Dline. Foskey fits into the rotation and can allow Cancun to have he, KT, and Rousseau on the field together. Elite safety group and strong LBer group make this defense a favorite to get deep into the playoffs.

2.15 Rome- Paris Johnson Jr OT OSU

Johnson has prototypical size and can be the future LT replacement for Tyron Smith as the jury is still out on Rain Man and this is good value near the end of the 2nd.

Pros: Length and athleticism. Versatility and has experience at guard. Smart player that adjusts as needed. Built to handle speed rushers. Can mirror quick edge rushers.

Cons: Strength at times at POA and in the run game. Can get jarred a little up right. Hand placement needs development. Anchor needs strengthening to get power rushers leverage stalled and not get into his pads driving him back into the QB.

Rome OT Room:

Ryan Ramczyk, Tyron Smith, Nicholas Petit-Frere, Paris Johnson Jr, Bernhard Raimann

Ram is still a stud, Tyron is on the last year of his deal. Two young potential starters waiting in the wings and PJJ who has the potential to supplant them as the third guy and eventual LT starter.

Projected Starters:
QB- Justin Herbert
RB- Najee Harris
WR- Amari Cooper
WR- Jaylen Waddle
WR- Josh Palmer
TE- Cade Otton
LT- Tyron Smith
LG- Chris Lindstrom
C- Cam Jurgens
RG- Michael Onwenu (RFA)
RT- Ryan Ramczyk

Herbert is Herbert. Najee is the starter by default due to the way Swift is used in Detroit. Both have potential and if those two offenses figure out how to better utilize both that would be a plus for Rome. Good receivers, Palmer could use an upgrade in BDL. Michael Thomas can’t stay healthy. Otton is a solid young guy need more TE depth though. Jurgens starts in the NFL once Kelce retires. This offense got to the Bizz Bowl and has a lot of potential. Some more depth at various positions will keep it humming.

2.16 Anchorage- Dawand Jones OT OSU

I take a flier on this big house and the OSU tackles go back to back. My RT Steele tore his ACL, Humphries is on the last year of his deal, Austin Jackson is dog water. Jones might not have a long career as the big guys his size rarely do but the talent is there.

Pros: A huge house of a man. Difficult to run around. Strong and can bully edge rushers in he passing game and rushing game. He is more athletic than expected. Long arms and just a big brute.

Cons: Size, is he too big to maintain his health. Lunges. Gets a little lazy and lunges at guys at times. Footwork could use refinement. Not going to have the mirror ability of smaller tackles but his size helps make up for some of that.

Anchorage T Room:

Andrew Thomas, Terence Steele, DJ Humphries, Ikem Ekwonu, Dawand Jones, Austin Jackson

When healthy this is a group with a lot of potential. Adding Jones gives a behemoth on that right side behind Steele and Hump, while Andrew Thomas backed up by Ikem handle the left side. Lack of depth at tackle has been a playoff killer in this league.

Projected Starters:
QB- Joe Burrow
RB- Jonathan Taylor
WR- Ja’Marr Chase
WR- Donovan Peoples-Jones
WR- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
TE- Kyle Pitts
LT- Andrew Thomas
LG- Frank Ragnow
C- Erik McCoy
RG- Peter Skoronski
RT- DJ Humphries

Went over the offense already but adding Jones as T depth with the moves of JSN and Sko makes me feel we are doing what we need to do to keep our offense moving in a championship caliber direction.

Big day for content

Tier 1 - The standards

1. Christian McCaffery - Was down on him bc durability but when on the field he’s elite. No weakness in his game

2. Nick Chubb - I value ability in receiving game a LOT but Chubb’s ability as a runner is arguably the leagues best. You can use him seamlessly as a runner in 11 personnel which significantly helps w todays pass friendly league. Strong in pass pro

3. Austin Ekeler - As a runner he’s about league average. He’s been consistently an elite weapon in the receiving game. TD machine. Strong in pass pro

Tier 2 - High level talent

4. Derrick Henry - If we’re basing on production and skills Henry is the best. He’s a franchise player at the position and closer to HoF than we think. He plays old school and isn’t as effective in the receiving game which can be a problem w how the leagues best offenses are built in 2022

5. Josh Jacobs - He was phenomenal this season. If only judging off last season he’s unquestionably tier 1 and worthy of challenging C-Mac

6. Saquan Barkley - The pass pro isn’t there but that’s about it. Big part of Giants succees this year. B+ runner, A receiver. Based on talent in discussion for top spot

7. Joe Mixon - Plays all 3 downs. Great runner, great receiver, good blocker. Very good player

8. Jonathan Taylor - Injures hurt him a lot this season. Doesn’t do enough in receiving game. Strictly as a runner, he’s tier 1

Tier 3 - 3 down players

9. Aaron Jones - Complete player. Never got the full load but no weakness. Can play in all situations

10. Travis Etienne - Good to see him breakout in a pseudo rookie season. Strong runner but needs improvement as receiver blocker to get to next level

11. Kenneth Walker - Strong rookie year. Very similar to Etienne

12. Dalvin Cook - Finally played an entire season and ironically had his worst season from per play perspective. There were so many shoe string tackles that he breaks into big plays in his prior seasons. Could go up or down. He’s one of the best RBs in pass pro. Grown significantly in that area of his game

13. Tony Pollard - Based on running ability he should be higher. Yard per play Monster w tier 1 ability this season. That injury end of the season puts a damper on a breakout star

14. Rhomandre Stevenson - Love his game. Complete player in all areas. Need 20 carries? Check. 8 receptions? Check. Pass pro responsibilities? Check. He has two plays this season which drop him (the last play vs LV, the fumble vs CIN)

15. Breece Hall - Would be higher if he didn’t get injured. Was showing some dynamic ability as a runner.

Tier 4 - Viable RB1s in NFL, BDL quality starters (by committee)

16. AJ Dillion - Rare skill set. Physical like Henry, big bodied but useful in both receiving and pass pro. Never got NFL bell cow responsibility. Big fan of his game

17. Dameon Pierce - Ran hard all season. Was solid as a receiver and owned 3 down responsibility. Foundational player at an otherwise fluid Texans offense

18. Isiah Pacheco - RB1 on super bowl champs. Wasn’t tested much in Pass pro, let’s see if he can continue growing as a receiver

19. Javonte Williams (DEN) - He’s a tier 2/3 player but was injured early in the season. Did well expanding his receiver ability although was average as a runner. His injury is likely means another offseason before seeing peak Williams.

20. Cam Akers - Story of two seasons. First half he played himself out of a job. Second half he claimed RB1 duties in LA and looked like a foundational player. Youth is on his side

Next man up

21. Jamaal Williams - Record breaking season for Detroit deserves mention. Elite nose for the end zone. I value guys for pass pro and receiving work which Williams does little work. Breakout season  at 27.

Honorable mention

DeAndre Swift, Tyler Allegier, Alvin Kamara, Najee Harris

Hopefully my guy Dobbins can stay healthy this season

Looking at Weeks 14 through 17 — after he returned from midseason knee surgery — Dobbins led the league in both rush yards (397) and yards per carry (7.0) in that span

RB is a deep position. I know people believe you shouldn’t spend a round 1 on them but I think that’s mistaken. You just need to have a good and/or productive RB bc the next 5 or 6 guys I thought of were still capable of being solid players (Miles Sanders, Kareem Hunt, Khalil Herbert, Alexander Mattison, and Brian Robinson)
