Currently Montana has the record when the Niners allowed an average of 24 points per game. No other defense allowed over 20 points per game, so Mahomes would already be in GOAT territory considering everything else going against him. Hurts is probably backup level if he gets drafted by any other team. Before you say anything, just look at Russell Wilson and his Broncos season. If you want to win a Super Bowl in this league, you don’t pay your QB. You build a team from the line out. You roll with journeymen quarterbacks. When your team is good but you need a QB, that’s when you draft the QB. Then you add as many pieces as you can in free agency while you’re paying your QB nickels.
