The Lions wanted Witherspoon, and had Gibbs next on the board over Robinson. At least they traded down. I'm someone that tends to believe that position value matters, so going RB, LB, TE with three early picks didn't feel good. Holmes said that their initial plan was Witherspoon at 6 and trading up from 18 to get Gibbs.
