So throwing 88 and not having success and throwing 95 and having success. Is that the "art of pitching" Jack was talking about?

When he can command his FB and has the velocity, he shows how filthy he can still be. Problem is, you get this version of Jack basically 1 out of every 5 starts or so. That ain't gonna work.

Yadi will be managing this team in the future assuming he wants to.

While I agree he's the ideal candidate both for the fan base and the FO, I'm not sure he wants to (at least for the forseeable future). He's got a lot of projects off the field and is very involved with Puerto Rico baseball.

Who knows though, maybe if that door opened with the Cradinals he may change his mind.

Couple Cardinal prospects that might be moving up our prospect rankings soon…

1. Edwin Nunez RHP, Age 21 (Single-A)
15.1 IP, 0.59 ERA, 12.33 K/9, 2.93 BB/9

2. Max Rajcic RHP, Age 21 (Single-A)
4-1, 2.21 ERA, 7 starts, 36.2 IP, 9.57 K/9, 1.23 BB/9

3. Ian Bedell RHP, Age 23 (High-A)
2-1, 1.16 ERA, 9 games, 2 GS, 23.1 IP, 14.36 K/9, 3.47 BB/9

4. Brycen Mautz LHP, Age 21 (Single-A)
2-1, 3.45 ERA, 7 starts, 31.1 IP, 8.90 K/9, 4.02 BB/9

5. Victor Scott OF, Age 21 (High-A)
32 G, 165 PA, 2 HR, 6 Doubles, 5 triples, 27 SB, 19.3 K%, 6.9 BB%, .288 BA, .366 OBP, 135 wRC+

6. Leonardo Bernal C, Age 19 (Single-A)
24 G, 107 PA, 2 HR, 4 doubles, 16.8 K%, 11.2 BB%, .301 BA, .388 OBP, 124 wRC+

7. Won-Bin Cho OF, Age 19 (Single-A)
25 G, 102 PA, 2 HR, 3 doubles, 2 triples, 12 SB, 21.6 K%, 14.7 BB%, .209 BA, .333 OBP, 99 wRC+

Some players in our lower levels that don’t really get talked about often. I would like to see some of them get moved up here soon. I’d say the pitching depth at the lower levels looks a lot stronger than the positional depth.

I am 3-2 now.  7 home runs tonight.  Of course the Cardinals had to make it interesting after taking a commanding lead.  But all's well that ends well.

Heck of a game for Oscar Mercado, in what I thought was his Cardinals debut, but it looks like he has played one other game.  Stil, hitting .750 with 2 SBs and 3 runs scored.  If he can do that every night... then he is the GREATEST BASEBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME!
