I'll assume before FA, we offered CGJ a long term deal around the 10-12M APY range. They turned it down assuming 14M APY was the market he could get and possible. Once Howie moved on to signing JB, BG, Cox Slay and CGJ actually witnessed the market. There was no way he'd run back to Howie with his tail between his legs asking, can I can a 1yr $8M contract?
