Green has the frame and play strength to work through contact at the line of scrimmage. He has spent nearly 97% of his snaps on the outside. Over the last two seasons, Green has been a reliable threat to take the top off the defense. He uses quick/speed release to win the leverage, track, and run past defensive backs. His ability to sell routes on the vertical plane opens opportunities for routes working back to the quarterback. This also opens other opportunities by forcing DBs into off-coverage with a cushion. The routes where Green thrives are vertical/9-routes, curls, comebacks, and crossers. Green has a strong pair of mitts. He is a confident catcher when the ball in his vicinity. On downfield passes, he does a good job tracking the ball in flight and flashing late hands, not tipping off unsuspecting defenders.

LaPorta is number 1 on the depth chart day 1. Other than that looks good.

I think Dre Bly was on the coaching staff at North Carolina last year so the Lions probably had a little more insight on him than other teams.
