I'm only slightly shocked. With my trip I forgot to fix my sliders in time and my run game got destroyed and it became one of those games.

Also the sim hates me on 3rd and longs every time lol.

Adjusting sliders is overrated imo.

4 teams have not yet won a guacamole trophy: Lancaster, Greenland, Phoenix, Freiburg. Doesn't seem likely for Lancaster or Freiburg, but the inner division battle between Phoenix and Greenland should be fun to watch.

On the flip side,Wattsville is the most prestigious with 4 trophies including the most recent, with Rio de Janeiro and Copenhagen following with 3 apiece.

But you've won the most as a GM.

Yeah, I track trophies both by owner (https://thekillernacho.blogspot.com/2013/01/nsfl-hall-of-fame.html) and by franchise including from previous owners/team names (on the OP). The latter is definitely less meaningful data as @TL-TwoWinsAway for example obviously can't be credited with the three trophies the team inherited won under different owners, but I felt it was interesting enough to preserve anyway. In retrospect, I probably should've also kept team name / owner history on the OP as well but I'm too lazy to go back and edit all that now lol

The only thing to note that while it has been a long time since then now, the fifth team in each division (modern Lancaster, Hamilton, Phoenix, and Egypt) were all expansion teams introduced in Season 4 (while Season 1-3 had only 16 teams). This means that these four didn't start with the advantage of the NSFL's complete initial draft (and the expansion draft I set up to compensate them was intentionally advantageous to the existing teams).

While any disadvantage should have obviously evened itself out by now, they've only only won two championships between all four of them, and the latest one of them to do so was El Ramster's franchise in Season 8. To put that in perspective, despite making up 20% of the league, they've only won 9% of the championships since their inception in Season 4 and none in the last 10 real-life years.

On another note, one thing I'm still really upset about was the wiping of the old forum, as I didn't archive anything NSFL-related in time from it. That means all data (including the expansion draft) that wasn't saved on blogspot was lost. I do recall t he first pick in that expansion draft was... Darren Sproles.

Insane.

Absolutely. They matter a bit, but personnel > sliders and it isn't all that close, imo.

There's a few different styles that people take with sliders. I respect those that are successful at regularly adjusting to their weekly matchup, but I've found it better for myself to figure out what seems to fit my roster and keep it.

Then again while it might provide consistent results over time, playoffs are a place where the adjuster has the advantage.

Ndamukong Suh was in my initial draft class. Curious if any other player has played for only 1 team since the beginning.

Sadly, since I didn't start to track seasonal stats on my blogspot until Season 2, most of Season 1's data is completely gone, including the initial draft.

Best you could do is use the Week 1 youtube videos to get the starting rosters of each team (then try to use the Season 2 detailed statistics page to figure what teams they currently are), although this wouldn't account for anyone on the PS:

...Unless you can find any of the older NSFL threads on an internet archive or something (but most of these don't really preserve forums)
