Q2, 0:09: Jake Moody's kick to the RJ endzone returned by Donovan Peoples-Jones for 102 yards.

Possession now belongs to the Rio de Janeiro Pirates.
Current score is Rio de Janeiro Pirates 17, Lancaster Fighting Amish 13.
Q3, 15:00: Jake Moody's kick to the RJ endzone. Downed by Donovan Peoples-Jones. Touchback.

So he brings it out of the endzone, covers over 100 yards, and doesn't score. What a stat padding schmuck.

WEEK 3 POWER RANKINGS

1. Hamilton Hornets (2-0, LW:1) - The Hornets easily take care of the Direwolves to hold onto the top spot.
2. Rio de Janeiro Pirates (2-0, LW:2) - Rio won a tough game on the road and although they probably win anyways, they got some help from Lancaster's coach at the end.
3. Lake Minnewanka Ice Orcas (2-0, LW:5) - The game ended up close but they had control all game. They are still a relative unknown but they deserve to be this high at this point.
4. Phoenix Rubber Ducks (2-0, LW:6) - It wasn't the blowout win some might have expected but the run game did a great job setting up the passing game to finish drives off.
5. Tokyo Samurai (2-0, LW:4) - They should have lost this game in many different ways. Nathaniel Dell keeps them in it with a giant kick return TD and they scrape back and then hold on with huge plays on defense by Matt Judon and especially Adoree' Jackson when the game was already lost if not for the opposing team not running the ball.
6. Hanoi Viet Kongs (1-1, LW:7) - Solid bounce-back win vs the Champs.
7. Little Rock Uni Royals (1-1, LW:10) - They had the most impressive win of the week vs a high-ranking team. You could definitely argue that they could be higher but this is their absolute floor right now.
8. New Zealand Blobfish (1-1, LW:9) - A hard-fought comeback on the road. They jump up a spot for having the better win but they are essentially neck and neck with Anchorage.
9. Anchorage Amphibians (1-1, LW:8) - ChatGPT be damned. The Scandinavian tables were more resilient than expected, bringing in the solid wood instead of MDF IKEA models. Still, despite a few bruises, the Amphibians were able to break through them.
10. Indianapolis Predators (1-1, LW:3) - The Predators were soundly beat. They drop back just ahead of the Direwolves, who they have many similarities with.
11. Reykjavík Direwolves (1-1, LW:11) - The defense had it's moments and Lamar Jackson played a very good game but there was too much to overcome.
12. Egypt Starfalls (1-1, LW:14) - A valiant attempt on the road vs a top team and a good late push but they fall short.
13. Greenland Polar Bears (1-1, LW:15) - After an epic comeback win, they allow one against them to a good team. They aren't moving up the rankings as much as other teams had to fall past them.
14. Berlin Beer Bellies (1-1, LW:18) - The run game was the difference here. Excellent run blocking and yardage and solid on D. It's a limited sample size but for now they need to be ahead of Burlington.
15. Burlington Sock Puppets (1-1, LW:12) - A tough road loss to the Beer Bellies. Their pass defense was great but they lost in the trenches when it came to the run game.
16. Wattsville Waste Walruses (0-2, LW:13) - The Walruses went nuts with 100 Defensive Aggressiveness and got some nice stats out of it... but also allowed the opposing offense to get stats of their own and the W.
17. Lancaster Fighting Amish (0-2, LW:17) - The Amish had 4th and goal at the 3 down 4 with 3:20 to go. The NSFL doesn't have timeouts. In no world do you take the 3 points and rely on your defense to make a stop. Even then your offense likely won't have time to get back in range.
18. Freiburg Venom (0-2, LW:16) - All Freiberg had to do was run the clock out and kick the game-winning FG. Instead they throw the ball for an interception. This kind of coaching should be a fireable offense. Their gaff was worse and they fall below the Amish.
19. Copenhagen Tables (0-2, LW:19) - They had the ball for the game-winning drive but Stroud was just too inexperienced and threw 4 straight incompletions. This game gave fans a glimpse of what to look forward to.
20. Scranton Papermakers (0-2, LW:20) - They started the game by allowing a safety. They did play a decent game though and for a while it looked as if that safety would be the difference until the Rubber Ducks pulled away in the last half of the 4th quarter.

Good battle! Wasn’t sure if you would still be at 100% aggression on defense. That was a bit insane of a first half.

After two weeks, the biggest issue I'm seeing so far is the big gains allowed on 3rd and long after strong defensive plays. Not sure if this is just bad luck or a sign that 100 defensive aggressiveness isn't really viable.

After S25....im sure no one expected anything close to this at the start of S26

I mean, I did. I said before the season that I thought Hamilton and Lake Minnewanka would be two of the top teams this year.

Yeah you did. I was more meaning before any offseason trades. Pretty big shifts from last season
