The 49ers were in the market for a veteran CB given their uncertainty at the position behind Charvarius Ward. He has plenty of starting experience, and joins Deommodore Lenoir, Ambry Thomas, and Isaiah Oliver in competition for the 49ers' CB2 spot. Mitchell, who has spent time with the Bears, Cowboys, Chiefs, Browns, Texans and most recently the Titans in his career, has 56 career starts.

I think he was good? I know he was good for 1 year in Cleveland. I think we got him from Houston, IIRC.

Think it’s the other way around, we got him from you guys? I don’t know, that Culley era was a blur…
