The folks at the DraftKings Sportsbook have installed the Vikings as an early 2.5-point underdog in this one. The Vikings have started the betting week as the underdog three times during their four-game winning streak, so this is not an unfamiliar position for them.

Is this the best defense we'll have faced all season so far?

It looks like their pass defense is great but susceptible to the run. Hopefully some gadget plays and QB runs will help us out here. I'm not expecting Dobbs to be the hero. Really, we just need him to be efficient.

No news on Jefferson yet. I'm guessing we play it conservatively here and give him at least 1 more week to heal up.

I watched the Saints live this weekend. Carr is AWFUL. Receivers were torching Bears DBs and he just wouldn't throw it. Dennis Allen is also ultra conservative and punted in plus territory with a chance to put the game out of reach.

The DL is nasty, I really hope that Darrisaw can go this week. They were very susceptible to QB runs - Bagent had 70 yards on 8 carries, and I think at least half of them were designed runs. I can't comment much on the DBs because The bears manufactured a lot of touches for the WRs, and when Bagent threw over the middle it was easy to see what was happening. Late and weak over the middle or on long outs that turned into picks.

Who is our backup QB if Hall and Mullens both aren't active?

Probably Mannion...and in the worst, worst case scenario, my money would be on Jordan Addison, who played QB in high school since Akers is now out for the season.
