I've said from the beginning, Telesco is not a good GM. He inherited Rivers and then lucked into Herbert, he wanted Tua, and signed Tyrod Taylor to start over Herbert his rookie season. Even with two franchise QB's his entire tenure he couldn't build a contending team. His rosters were always super top heavy because he was willing to make splashy moves but couldn't draft well in the middle rounds. What does he do here? Fields/Lance can’t run standard playbooks which is why their value is so low. But once the bottom 5-7 QB play commences on the field everyone will be changing their tune. I still have no idea why we paid that man so much money when his level of play is roughly on par with AOC. For Minshew’s level of play we could have signed Russell Wilson for $1.2 million, traded a 6th rounder and paid $3.2 million for Justin Fields, signed Mason Rudolph for $2.9 million, signed James Winston for $4 million, signed Drew Lock for $4 million, or signed Marcus Mariota for $6 million.
