Also on the table, and maybe even more plausible with where they are at, is them wanting a 2025 pick to get a better crack at next years class, same with the Raiders. Allar, Sanders, Weigman, Ewers, Beck, 2 or 3 of them will rise into top 12 territory probably. Extra second helps them pop up into that range if they are picking after that, or higher in that group. Their only 2 QB's on the roster are Stidham and Dinucci. There is no way they are going into the 2024 season with those 2 as their top QB's. I don't see Sean Payton signing up for an 0-17 season. Only push back is Payton also saw first hand what a top tier QB can do for you and what anything but that can do in his years with the Saints. Something he seems to believe in enough to take a record $85m cap hit to ditch Wilson. If that shot is taken away this year it’s best to try and load up next year. Raiders are probably more likely, as they are more likely to be fine giving O’Connell a year out of the two.

I'm a Penn State fan, I don't believe in allar at this point. Who's weigman?? I don't believe in Sanders Beck screams classic day 2 guy who becomes a long time backup IMO

I like the players you took so that probably helps my optimism on it.

I can understand Sainristil at 69 I guess, not in love the pick, but getting him after a trade down is decent.

Jeezla
My dream first 3 picks 1 Newton DT/DE or Latu OLB or Verse OLB 2 Haynes RG (I really want him to be our starting RG. Love him as a guard prospect) 2 Melton CB (Maybe Khyree Jackson at CB? but I still don't know what to make of him) DeJean/Quinyon/Terrion/Wiggins would all be great to have, but round 2 will still have some solid CB and OL talent, where as that DL group falls off a cliff once Newton/Murphy/Latu/Verse are gone. Chop is a big time projection ala Nolan Smith. Fiske got short arms. Darius Robinson is an older and less refined Keion White. He's interesting, but I wouldn't bank on him booming. Newton is a good player and I have a first round grade on him, but I will kick Jeffery Lurie's dog if we go IDL for the 3rd year in a row. If we're using a lot of 3 man fronts, he'd start at an important position, so I don't see the problem. Newton would be noticeably better than Milton Williams as a 3/4 DE. Newton is a beast.
