Linsley retirement party?

Not a big announcement, but this should suffice for retirement, I think?

So, in this instance since there isn't a clear answer I would default to the Ruling Commitee for a Ruling.

Since Rags is on that committee I will step in as the backup and vote to approve the Retirement.

@RedGold has done so in discord but should probably reiterate here.

@bcb1213 what say you?

The ruling committee is who exactly? That needs to be updated

I mean the guy is down to 230 lbs. Yea that sounds like he's done to me. Just worried about setting a bad precedent

I think it's a pretty high precedent to clear.

NFI with a chronic heart condition, all the comments in the past tense, team signs his replacement, team friendly contract restructure, being down to 230, etc, etc.

The full article about being done.

I think if any player hit all those criteria, it's pretty reasonable.

You don’t have a say! We should be voting to elect who is on the ruling committee anyway. The dictator ways of the BDL should be a thing. Tell them @RuskieTitan

Yeah not sure about that…. Three guys deciding overall bdl rulings?

Thats never been it.  It's really been a final official vote on smaller grey area things after others have given opinions.  I don't think that final vote has ever gone against consensus and it's never been used on anything that was owner's meeting worthy.

Basically the rubber stamp on the majority's opinion.

I'd be more than happy to have a rotating body of 5 owners for issues like this.

It's listed in the main document.

Bcb, Rags, RedGold  Backup: SirA1

Basically, for any weird situation that come up.

It literally gets invokes maybe once every 4-5 years.

I think the last time was for a dead player that was just resigned to a contract.

Like I said I'm unopposed to it. If the other two are good with it, so am I

I agree with Bcb that we don't want to set a precedent that can be taken advantage of, but there are a LOT of qualifiers here. It's pretty obvious from Linsley's statements that he's done--and furthermore, it sounds like LA will be announcing his retirement post-June 1st. If y'all want to wait for that before approving Linsley as retired, fine, but I think Rags is going to be making moves assuming he's officially retired either way.
