I think there’s something about Offensive Coordinators struggling balancing playcalling along with leading a team

Best OCs seem to have passed on the gigs for the most part though.

The jobs this year weren't particularly enthralling.

That said, I think teams are going to start chasing DCs again. You look around and see all the OC turned HC guys and they all seem to have stacked offenses. Then you see all these other big shot OCs also fielding great offenses.

Do you want to try and match Miami's offense and hope to outscore them in a race for 30, or do you want to focus your team on keeping them from topping 17, while finding an OC that can get you 24?

Good defensive outings shut top flight offenses down in the playoffs this year. I think DCs are about to become the flavor of the week again for a bit, as opposed to OCs. Easier to build a solid enough defense to slow Pat Mahomes down than to find a Pat Mahomes for yourself and hope to just outscore him every time. It's about time for a philosophy shift anyway.

This is a good point . It’s a cycle. The one thing is a solid defense will give you a chance to win in January

As a predominantly defensive guy, I approve 😀

Arnold, Copperopolis, and Murphys are all nice places. Good memories.

I wanna get some acres out here and put a house on it. I have a ok sized lot now. Yes sir took my daughter to see snow up in Arnold. Nothing like sitting on your porch with a nice view of the mountains

I been really thinking about moving to Vegas if I ever sold my house

Been watching Vegas prices since the Great Recession. Saw 300K 3bd/2ba condos go down to 50K in 2010. My gf moved here 5 years ago and moved into a unit in the complex I'd been watching. (The Lakes by Summerlin/Vegas) Watched the prices climb from 150/165K 5 years ago then EXPLODE during COVID back up to new highs. Saw one in another part of Summerlin go from 150K ask down to 120K when COVID lockdowns hit. The no evictions and over 300K 1 bd there 200-220K. So prices have exploded. However it's still cheaper than where I was from Sonoma County Ca. or work Marin Co. When Mom passed about 8 months age we sold he place for 505K with -10K for closing costs so 495K and it needed A LOT of work 1910 tiny 2bd/1ba. Been sitting on my 1/3rd waiting to see where to move next. I pay 450 for a room I rent in Vegas (Chinese gf found it in the local Chinese paper. Costs me 150-160 gas to =drive but local airport STS had cheap flights 19-57 one way which is shearper as my Dad picks me up and drops me off at the STS airport 8 miles from his house. Also lets me see him more. Rent would be much higher if I stayed in Cali and things here are about a buck cheaper in Vegas (not on strip lol) We're in Spring Valley within walking distance of the new Durango casino. Diverse population, people are friendly at the gym, people drive a bit fast (me included) and traffic isn't as bad as Bay Area or LA when I lived there. YUCK!!! I'm probably buying/moving to Florida but it's not as bad here as I had thought. Lots of fun if you go to the tourist areas Strip, Downtown/Freemont. Got free tickets (Verizion) to the Super Bowl experience so we will check that out. Was going to do Opening Night at the stadium but I'm driving back Monday and will just want to relax and chill with the gf and maybe walk the dog. If prices fall because of a Recession then I'd probably buy here but because I've seen the prices move up for so long and POP with COVID I just don't see it as a wise decision at this time. I've heard rents are coming down 1200 for 2bd/2ba across the street from the house I rent a room in. Not sure about other parts of town. Gas cheaper, food cheaper both store bought and out to eat. I miss green mountains for hiking but red rocks are cool and the mountain tops have snow currently so that's pretty.

Klint Kubiak set to be hired as Saints OC.

This suggests like there was maybe mutual interest between him and the Raiders, but as soon as that position was off the table he's taken another job.

Also interesting that the Saints are now hiring him despite not actually interviewing him in person (I believe they did conduct a virtual interview though).

My homie sold his duplex in Palo Alto around 2008 ish and bought 3 Vegas houses for cheap. I believe it. I’d prolly try to buy some land in other areas of Nevada. Mad the raiders moved I miss going to the games.

I grew up in Oakdale in the 90s. My dad was stationed over in Marin and we kept a second house in Sausalito.

Sold both in 98, retired from active duty (got a sweetheart of a deal though), and we moved to be closer to his mom who wasn't doing well.

If only he'd waited on retirement for a couple of more years, right? Lol.
