The Gnat
I'd not complain about this draft for the Vikings. Especially the first two which should have instant impact.

The direction the team goes here completely depends on if they resign Gilmore or not. If they do, I don't think they take Kool-Aid and spend a 1st round pick on a guy that might not see the field on 70% of defensive snaps, as he's stuck behind Diggs, Gilmore and Bland. That being said, if we don't resign Gilmore, then absolutely KAM is about as good a press-man cover corner as you can find in this years draft and a perfect fit for Zimmer's defensive scheme. In the scenario where we did resign Gilmore, I think they would go Brian Thomas Jr. here. We are unlikely to spend a first round pick on offensive line unless it's a world class Center, and I think that hole can be addressed in later rounds, assuming it wasn't already handled in FA. Our LT/LG/RG/RT are all locked at this point, so Barton and Guyton don't make sense. We just spent a first on Mazi Smith last year and it was the first time we used a 1st round pick on an DT since Russell Maryland, so it's unlikely they use one again for a 2nd year in a row, especially is Osi playing so well, as it'd mean they completely gave up on Mazi after one year, so I don't think Newton or Murphy make sense here either. Really it's just BJT or KAM and all that hinges on if we resigned Gilmore or not. Quote SECOND ROUND Dallas: Malachi Corley, WR Here I think the Cowboys would go Junior Colson - Malachi Corley is a RB playing WR and not a very good one at that. With LVE most likely to medically retire, that leave us with 2 true Linebackers on our roster in Overshown and Clark and left us utilizing Safeties at the position for most of last season. We need a hard thumper and while I hope we would trade up a few picks to land Edgerrin Cooper if it felt like this in real life, I think Colson is a solid pick and his history playing with Mazi in front of him only makes it even better. Quote THIRD ROUND Dallas: Jonathon Brooks, RB Green Bay: Braelon Allen, RB Tampa Bay: Dominick Puni, IOL Arizona: Mar’Kiese Irving, RB Green Bay: Cedric Gray, LB Detroit: Jaden Hicks, S Baltimore: Josh Newton, CB San Francisco: Blake Fisher, OT Kansas City: Khyree Jackson, CB Jacksonville: Zak Zinter, IOL Philadelphia: Audric Estime, RB San Francisco: McKinnley Jackson, DL Buffalo: D. J. James, Auburn LA Rams: Michael Pratt, QB Washington: Jermaine Burton, WR Let the RB run begin! Seeing Corum go before Brooks is surprising, but the Cowboys will be more than happy to pick up where others failed and secure one of the top RB's in this rather weak class. Brooks is a great fit for McCarthy's scheme, versatile, and has limited wear on his body. He may end up being a 1-yr wonder but worth the risk in the 3rd. That being said, if we go with KAM in the first instead of BJT and Colson in the 2nd as I think they would, I think Jermaine Burton gets a serious look here and we wait a bit on RB (again, really depends on how FA went and if we brought Pollard back). Quote FIFTH ROUND Dallas: Tanor Bortolini, IOL SIXTH ROUND Dallas: Ethan Driskell, OT SEVENTH ROUND Dallas: Jontrey Hunter, LB Dallas: Justin Rogers, DL Bortolini is a solid choice in the 5th and the rest of the draft looks fine. That late and this early in the process it's a crapshoot at this point anyway. I know how much time and energy these things take, so just know you did a great job - this was very well done and well laid out.
vike daddy
another not very good mock for the Vikings. you have us taking Latu in the 1st with JJ McCarthy on the board and then Bo NIx in the 2nd. not good. you cried at me in your last mock to Make. My. Own if i didn't like yours so here's what the Vikings would do instead: take McCarthy in the 1st and Sweat at 42 in the 2nd Viking fans would be ECSTATIC over getting those two and not needing to move up for either. you're welcome.
FrantikRam
I am not crazy about going defense with the first two picks for the Rams, but I have to admit that I liked this draft. But then I'm a nervous wreck about the OL right now with it looking increasingly likely that we won't re-sign Dotson.

TankWilliams
For the Bears, of course I'm on board with #1, but at #9 I don't hate Dallas Turner considering where the board is, however I feel its unlikely, he's not really in the mold of defensive ends that Eberflus and Poles like in their schemes. I like the rest of the draft, though.
vike daddy
1 hour ago, Football_Bachelor08 said: Funny, another Vikings fan replied saying it was good. Maybe you're just a whiner. yes, he's the mod of the Mock Draft forum and is complimentary of anyone's efforts. and i will give you props for doing a 7 rounder, that's quite an achievement. my rudimentary college player knowledge doesn't go beyond 50 players, if that. so here's to you for the effort it took! a good Mock Maker takes into consideration the feedback he gets from team fans for subsequent mocks, and particularly those who do know their team better than the author himself. and you did state you don't know the Viking team and its needs very well in your first rant against me. so sure, see me as a whiner if that's what you need to feel better about your lack of knowledge of the Vikings' needs. if you posted just your Viking selections in our FF forum here, you'd be shredded over your choices. it's no big deal to me. i look at a lot of mocks and a lot of guys out there don't have the 32 team based knowledge to make sensible predictions. i certainly don't either. babyatemydingo
Philadelphia: Jackson Powers-Johnson, IOL Philadelphia: T.J. Tampa, CB Philadelphia: Tyler Nubin, S I am not going to split hairs over the first four picks. A+ to all. Philadelphia: Audric Estime, RB - C Philadelphia: Luke McCaffrey, WR - C Philadelphia: Curtis Jacobs, LB - A The next three are OK. While the Eagles only have one RB under contract they have options to retain two more and even more in FA. The team is going to a 3-4 and has only two LB's. Also, WR3 was abysmal last year. At #97 - Jermaine Burton, WR* - Jalen McMillan, WR* - Tykee Smith, S - Jaheim Bell, TE - Tommy Eichenberg, LB - Javon Baker, WR - Roger Rosengarten, OT - Malik Washington, WR* - Mohamed Kamara, EDGE all seem like better picks. At 160 the pick is fine assuming 97 isn't a WR. I expect one WR in the draft and one in FA. - Josh Proctor, S - Renardo Green, S - Zion Tupuola-Fetui, EDGE - Dylan Laube, RB* all seem to be solid picks Jacobs at 170 is a good pick and not because he's from Penn State. I get tired of people mocking players who played nearby as if that is a consideration. Good here, though. Philadelphia: Tory Taylor, P - F Philadelphia: Jordan Jefferson, DL - D Philadelphia: Marcellas Dial, CB - D This where it gets dicey. Punting wasn't a problem last year as it was the year before and I don't see draft capital spent on a competition at that position. The Eagles have a ton of DT's in the pipeline, some of whom will be 3-4 DE's. Finally, there are 10 CB's on the roster or under control. One due to value is OK. Two in this draft is unlikely, especially in later rounds. Malik Mustapha, S - Nathaniel Watson, LB - Edefuan Ulofoshio, LB* - Frank Gore Jr, RB - Jaylen Harrell, EDGE* - Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, WR - Ethan Driskell, OT* - Kenny Logan, S - Andrew Coker, OT - Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S here. So, the unofficial re-draft goes like this: Jackson Powers-Johnson, IOL T.J. Tampa, CB Tyler Nubin, S Jermaine Burton, WR, Jalen McMillan, WR or Malik Washington, WR - The value at the positon is just too good here and there's a precipitous drop-off before the next pick. Dylan Laube, RB Curtis Jacobs, LB Edefuan Ulofoshio, LB Jaylen Harrell, EDGE Ethan Driskell, OT Thanks for listening. Thanks for posting.
