NFC is still very much up for grabs and potentially ours for the taking once our guys are all back

It’s early. But right now Saints, Bucs and Vikings look like the best teams in the NFC. Who would have thought?

Although the Seahawks could be 4-1 before our game in October. Dolphins without Tua, Giants and Lions. Only 1 tough game there

We will see probably by midseason just how much improved the Chiefs offense is, especially when Brown gets some games under him. But truthfully, if Kelce is on the decline and can't do what he did last postseason, then the improvements made at WR may be cancelled out with his decline. Worthy didn't do much in the pass game aside from the TD where there was a blown coverage. Rice is awesome and Brown is a good #2, but the offense may not be all that much better than it was last season. Does not mean that the Chiefs are not the favorites....because they clearly are. But the AFC playoffs is goin to be very tough for any of these teams to come out of.

I think my take here will age decently as we go through the season. The Chiefs will still be a good offense because of Mahomes, but if the decline of Kelce is real, that takes away some of the improvements they have made at WR. Brown will not play in the regular season but there is a chance he returns for the postseason and that will help but the OL is not great at pass protecting and they will have limited big plays again. The Worthy TD was a straight coverage breakdown for the Ravens. Take that away, and they would have scored 23 or so points and they scored 19 points vs the Bengals.

The AFC is wide open but one of these teams are going to have to play good, smart ball in January to take them out. I am still hoping the Ravens get it together and peak at the right time but there is a chance they are 0-3 after Sunday. The Chargers are probably a year away from truly competing for the division and conference and the Texans are the wildcard. Super talented but a young QB that will likely have to win in Arrowhead. The Bengals are the best bet to knock them off and they will have a chance as long as Burrow does not have a costly turnover late in the game. Their defense just always plays the Chiefs tough. Should be interesting.

Btw, I love how so many NFL folks are upset with how defenses are defending offenses and taking away the deep ball....Like all that has happened is we are back to what the NFL always was before the 2010s lol. 30 TD seasons used to be applauded with 4,000 passing yards and nowadays those types of seasons get overlooked and aren't seen as being all that impressive. No more gaudy, skewed stats is what the NFL always needed to go back to.

So the Seahawks have faced Bo NIx, Jacoby Brissett & are about to face Skylar Thompson. They'll also be facing Daniel Jones in 17 days.

Talk about amazing QB luck to start the season

Third straight year we'll have to hear "could the Seahawks actually win the division" before they have their annual 2nd half collapse
