Did they announce what we got in the trade down?

I like the pick but was bummed when Odunze went at 9. Glad we didn't take Bowers

Have to see how the rest of the draft goes.  If we use those picks to jump up for a WR then it may work better than moving up for Rome, and I am a huge Rome guy. I'd love to secure his teammate Polk.

Rodgers didn't seem too happy with the pick.  OH WELL.

He needs to defer from any type of GM comments at all and just be the QB. I know from HK/1JD it’s a weird dynamic but the “need” comment wasn’t necessary. Kind of ironic too given what happened last year

He feels like the hot girl you meet and find out why she was single in the first place. He's annoying. He'll change his mind if Fashanu has to step in for injury.

He is a franchise LT and if there is any concern about him, he has a year to sit behind Tyron Smith.  He will definitely get a game or two as Smith can't stay healthy.

Future:

Fashanu-AVT-Tippmann-anyone-Warren

Simpson is still pretty young, not against letting Warren get a shot at RT which I actually think he might grow in to

He will have to really prove he can be a starter. I have hope for him, but he was not very good last year. With luck, he will not step on the field this season and can learn from two of the best.

Its kind of funny that our top two needs this year could be our top two next year as well.

Simpson was good for the Ravens, solid pass blocker and decent run Blocker, think he’ll be fine for the next 2 years. Warren looked decent at times considering he was a Raw 4th round rookie think learning behind a pair of vets could help him hold his own

Agreed. I just would not pencil him just yet. If he proves throughout the year he can be a viable RT, great. One less need. BUT if it’s a “learn in the field situation and hope for the best”, draft someone else. I am snakebitten with regards to the OL.

Time will tell I’m willing to give him a shot(as long as we bring in Vet competition) next year. We HAVE to hit on one of these mid round linemen
